One problem with your post, Walter. The prerequisite tech for Banking centers is Universal Translator. I find that leasing is OK in the begining of the game IF you're leasing colony ships. Even if you colonize a system with 100 million people, you end up getting more money than before the colony ship was built. Also, don't lease multiple colony ships for a single system. Once you colonize one planet of a system, you've claimed it, and don't need to quickly colonize the other habitable p

Daveman, China supports free trade now. It's the US that doesn't because of cheap Chinese goods.
You can see all of the techs you've researched, and what they give you by going to the Technologies screen, then clicking on the Archives button. If you want to go back to the techs you can research, click Available.
It was supposed to be out yesterday, but it showed up today. And if you sold your soul to Stardock Central ;p , you would have had it yesterday.
Wait, in the fleet, where was the battleaxe in the order? I usually see the last ship to join a stack is the first to attack/defend. Also, if you attack with a corvette, don't expect the battleaxe to take over for its defending rounds.
GalCiv is supposed to be played like chess. There are no ZoC's in chess (except in the case of a check). Besides, it's hard to patrol approximately 96 square light-years of space, especially with a single ship.
OK. Step by step instructions: 1. Go to Downloads and download the Stardock Central client. 2. Install Stardock Central and follow the registration instructions. 3. Start Stardock Central, click the Drengin.net, click Galactic Civilizations, and click the Update button.
It's called a joke, Fist of John. That's different from you going around, calling the people who defend MoO3 various inappropriate names and actively flamebaiting.
I, for one, actually prefer the fact that I don't have to design my own ships. Stardock has finally taken out the race to design the über-ship, the plague of MoO II. If I want a better ship, I research techs that improve it. No fuss, no muss, and no refiting required.
Yup, those are the four. Don't start asking about the fifth X. There's some debate about that one.
"we must not take advantage of the fact that his iq lies somewhere between a drengin blood worm aor an altarian ankle warmer" Isn't that an insult to the Drengin blood worm? Even they wouldn't go straight to the Devs asking for CD-keys to a pirated game.
You need to use Stardock Central to get the 1.2 patch.
Fist of John, please stop posting stuff like that. This isn't the MoO3 board, and we don't want flame wars. If you need to vent, please, don't do it on the board of a well-liked game.
I thought there was an event like this where a part of a random empire breaks off, causing a civil war. I've seen this once.
Pentium II? Nope, not going to work. You need a Pentium III because of the multithreading. Ach, how many people are going to ask this? NO MULTIPLAYER! GalCiv is single-player only. End of discussion. And I don't know about the demo, but Stardock does seem to deliver, so I would say yes. But it won't matter for you. Sorry.
I don't think it would work. I know some ships share the same sprites (Frigate and Star Hawk, for example).
The choices that pop up when you hit next turn change morality by 10. I once went good when I got the imploding moon event 3 times in 20 turns.
Good thing I finished my taxes in March. Yes, crack has found ways to become code. If you lived in my college dorm, you'd see it in the form of HALO. LOL
I can see why they would want to have the ship start in the sector with the bonus. If you had a ship move into that sector with its last move, it could end up getting free movement. Of course, it just might be the way the number of moves left are calculated.
"Here they've been teased by those assholes at Infogrames." Yes, I remember the teasing. Does anyone remember when QS originally described MoO3 combat? They promised engines exploding, scorch marks, and full 3D. I was expecting Homeworld-esque combat, and what did we get? A bunch of green lines and spots. Of course, the computer was kicking our butts while we were stunned. I was one of those MoO fans that really wanted to like MoO3. IG expected it could get mainstream gamers to
Phaedyme, I haven't seen the life-force one either, but I thought it boosted planet quality. At least, that's what the manual says.
If you have any repair ability, your ships will repair, even in enemy space. But putting them in orbit repairs them faster. Oh, and don't start new threads based on old threads. That causes the board to become cluttered like the MoO3 board. ~SDC~
Nope, just hit Turn and they do it. It was so you change your ships' orders before it got to move. ~SDC~
Maybe they have hitpoint boosting techs, military resources, or Tri-Strontium Steel. I haven't seen shipyards affecting hitpoints, even though they're supposed to. Empire-wide stat boosting (techs, anomolies, etc.) affects all ships immediately.
Oh, the same thing happens in MoO2 sometimes. A possible fix is that the AI also expects you to make peace with all of its allies, and it makes peace with all of yours.
