Hmmm I wonder why they did it this way. Can someone from stardock explain it? And is it possible to make the graphs more meaningfull? It would be a nice addon to the game in my very humble opinion.

Is it possible to go directly to the main game screen (with the 'restore previous civilization' etc. options) without first seeing the popup thingy (with all the play game, galciv.com etc. options)? If not.... can this be implementend, because 99,99 % of the time I do not want to do any of the things from the menu. If i want to visit galciv.com I open my browser and take it from there.

In response to: "There should be an option for morality and war for each race when starting the game. That would throw a bunch of new possibilities in the mix. It would be great to be able to make a race Pure Good and Pacificts, or Chaotic Evil Treehuggers, or Neutral and Bloodthirsty." That would be kinda cool actually!

In my last game (version 1.01) I had a huge tech advantage and decided to totally halt my research and start spending my money on military items. The next turns I saw the research graph take a deep dive to almost 0, while I am sure I still had all the best techs. I think the research graph shows how much each empire is spending, while it (imho) should show the technology levels of the various empires. In the newsgroup I also read: [quote roberto ullfig] The military graph line i

In response to: #14 by Avatar Frogboy - 4/13/2003 12:53:25 PM That's a great idea. It prevents 'unofficial trainers' from screwing up the metaverse. Ofcourse people will still be able to do it (probably), but this way it won't happen by accidence anymore.

I have just read a post of someone saying: "2 of the 5 major races got the short straw... stuck in corners isolated from the main mass of stars near the middle of the map. They've squatted on their homeplanets and been stuck there the entire game." Would it be nice to have an option in the game to make the galaxy map continuous? If you go off the map from the left, you end up on the right. And if you move to the top of the map, you end up at the bottom. Would this be a nice ide

And: I almost forgot: The AI always tries to WIN the game. It doesn't matter how 'good' they are, they still want to win. They chose the right path to victory; does that need an AI tweak? If I were playing a good race, I would first trade with some empires an ally with someone; attack or 'culture' the others and eventually even attack my ally if that was the victory condition.

Hey Phaedyme... Thanks for your explanation! This will give me a much easier time playing. I almost heartattacked when I heard about this event the first time, since the Drengin got the effect and were my worst enemies.

Has already been posted here: http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?id=39935&BID=GF&page=1 But i feel this should greatly improve the game: [quote] If the AI would also consider how the player treats other AI empires that would also have some great effects. This prevents players from using the same tactics against multiple AI players. For example: if i make peace to the torians and receive lots of money but attack again the next turn, the drengin would learn that my peace tre

Is it possible to slipstream Galciv. What i mean: Is it possible to make your own installation cd which includes the updates? And not just includes the updates in seperate directories, but includes the updates (and bonuspack) in the game itself. So if I would install Galciv from my newly created cd it would directly be 1.01 (or any later version) and thereby bypass any need for installing additional updates. And I have not yet used Stardock Central, but if I download the game
