While I have never done such micromanagement myself, I agree that those locked sliders would be very neat.

The thing is, we have to come up with a rationale. In the real world, your factories cost money whether they're building something or not. You can't just fire and rehire people instantly." AND Nomikos "Actually I'd guess that the rationale is the easy part, and the play balance th
So... any empty que costs money? Still think there are better solutions. Hmmm..... not funny....better start building things and selling them.
Yep. This happened to me TWICE already. It's kinda funny though, but it should be fixed.
In response to: "Yes, Phoenixes are just as useless as Star Hawks. Has any one of you ever built the latter? At the time when Star Hawks are available there are no anomalies or debris left to make it a sensible choice. I think Brad and the gang should take a thorough look through the ship classes..." I never, ever made a Star Hawk yet. I usually don't even bother to build myself a new 'Hero' if the first one gets destroyed.
It shouldn't be too much of a trouble to find a publisher for Europe. But it's gonna take months I guess.
Yep... I agree. Both would be a lot of fun.
Does anyone know if the game will be released in the Netherlands and Belgium? A friend of mine doesn't want to download directly from Stardock, and thinks the import (€ 70,- or so) is way to expensive. Brad? Stardock? Anyone? ;p
Renaming ships is fun! Renaming governors is also fun! what the heck: renaming is fun!
Does mousewheel already work with starbase modules?
I really thought that it repaired quicker when in orbit. But actually I am not so sure about that.
In response to: #191 by Veteran Code Monkey - 4/22/2003 1:00:16 AM "During the auto-move portion of the following turn I got the dialogue for a Torian Combat Transport that had been set on an auto-route to invade my planet: Invasion of the _Terran Alliance's_ Kwilas system will be seen as an act of war. Do you wish to go to war with the Terran Alliance Lord Tlas Tzientawhateverhisnameis?" I had exactly the same with the Drengin?!? And yes, their leader has a different nam
I really don't know... can i be a veteran.....please ;) :D
In response to: "Okay, so I'm behind a bit in technology. So, I go to the Drengin and trade for some of theirs, as well as some nice ships, maybe a starbase or two. I offer up monthly installments, relatively low payments for a few hundred turns (or whatever). A few turns later, I declare war. The tribute I offered in exchange for the techs, etc. stops." I disagree: if you pay tribute and go to war, you should imho still pay tribute. IF on the other hand you RECEIVE tribute for
Brad: why are only the arceans improved with these new tactics? Is it also going to happen for the other races?
Tventano... even if it is maxed 50 turns; i think it would greatly improve the game if the tribute would stop if the race dies, or if you (for example) declare war again after signing a peace treaty for which tribute is being paid.
Latest version: - When a ship is lauched (automatically) from a planet and there is already a (small) freighter ship there, i cannot select the launched ship. - In diplomacy screen. I go to the minor races tab and talk to the alexians. When i click 'done' instead of the alexians picture, i saw the picture of the altarians. Not a big problem, just strange.
Brad are you listening?? :D [just had to post 4 in a row]
Oh yeah, and while i am at it: the computer AI should be programmed that it wants to give tribute for multiple months when being attacked, and wants tribute at once when attacking.
Btw: Imho tribute should stop when: - the race paying the tribute dies - the race receiving the tribute does not respect the treaty it signed. I mean: if the Drengin pay me 20 for 20 turns, and i decide to go to war with them after 5 turns. Tribute payments should stop.
1) They die, tribute doesn't stop. Instant cheese waiting to happen. This is a bug. I already reported it in the bugs folder. I hope it gets noticed!
I like the idea..... but: The zip should imho contain only the 'best' and 'metaverse accepted' mods. I only want to play with quality mods :p And what are we gonna do with mods that rule each other out. Frogboy for governor or Angelina for governor? Maybe we shouldn't bother Stardock and do this ourselves.
I don't think this is a feature ;) Maybe post it in the bugs forum.
This is a great idea...
I was wondering if the AI gives you money for these death traps, but even if i can give them away for free it would be kinda funny.
