Ok, just finished another game yesterday and the score has not posted either. So my last two scores have not posted, one from over a week ago. Any update on this issue?

Just to report back the I installed the 1.04 beta and now I can load my saved game. Thanks for the suggestions Cari! I know that doesn't help those that aren't Drengin.net memebers, but those that are, give it a try.
Man, I've been playing all day (saved, exited and loaded up several times) and now all of a sudden I have this *exact* same error in the debug.err logfile. However just with my current game. Started in 1.03 and up to latest 1.03 version. I've not wanted to go to 1.04 beta simply because I'm almost finished (first military victory for me!). Uggggg. I'll try the beta and see if that allows me to finish my game.
A PIII is actually quite old. With a built in generic sound card I'd be concerned about that the most. But I think Ellestar's suggestion is the best. Wipe everything clean of GalCiv and the Demo. Get rid of any spyware and stuff (get Adware, it's free). Install the game only and not the multimedia add-on. See if that helps. Good luck.
I'd guess the Arcean AI tweak to make them stronger was the first test to see if it worked and if we noticed. I have also noticed it. I'd think that in the next patch or the exapansion you'll see the other AI's beefed up. To be honest the Arceans almost act like humans with they way they do starbases and stuff. Maybe our metaverse submissions at work! :)
I'm lucky if I have to press the turn button only a few times a game. You only have to press the turn button if all your ships are on autopilot and you've not clicked on anything else. Cari wants you to email her the file pref.ini from your data folder. She also wants step by step what you are trying to do in game. It's standard computer support, I do it all day long for a living. Have you ever called a help desk at your place of work needing help with your computer and they ask you
Shakaar, As has been said, you need a drengin.net account to see the beta. You also then need to change your view settings to see beta and pre-release software. If you don't have drengin.net, you'll never see the beta's.
Or get a drengin.net subscription and get it for "free" when it comes out. ;)
Actually, it allows you to finish up research early on a teach. My last two games I've tried creativity and several times I've had 7 turns to go to research something and low and behold it was finished the next turn.
Also if you hit "F9" you'll see all your starbases as crosses with a filled in box around them. Resources will be big X's.
I had one game where I was evil and the goody-goody crusade was always at war with me. While I had no alliance, I had the Drengin and Yor giving me free ships all the time "to help me out" as they said. Also had minor races give me ships too. Didn't help though as I was defeated big time.
Well, my latest game is certainly my most interesting. I tended to go eveil (again) but I'm up around 25-30 and not totally demonic. I setup my game for a military victory for the first time. Took Universalists and racial picks in military production, hit points, weapons, etc. Morale has been a little problem but taken care of easily enough by loading up 4 billion on a combat transport. :D Started out just south of the center of the galaxy (large, tight clusters, common worlds, late
I've installed every update so far from SDC with no problems and I've never uninstalled so it's not needed unless you are actually having problems.
Are new submissions delayed until you get caught up? I just submitted my 3rd game late last night (well, actually about 2 this morning) and it hasn't shown up yet. I'll wait to hear back before I try to submit it again.
More hit points can easily be explained as well: Drengin chose War Party *and* spend ability points in the extra Hit Points ability. Attach and defense ratings also are affect by ability point choices as well as several technologies, space debris and random events.
Dave, Don't know about a list of changes to SDC. I just noticed it this weekend and I instinctively clicked on it as I would a folder in Windows Explorer and low and behold there were the sub-components. ;) Kinda makes sense actually. But then I'm a computer geek so the first thing I always do is just click on stuff and check menus just to see what's up.
Weird. Never seen it happen myself.
Yes, you do not lose the work you have so far on a social project. By the way, I have never had the governor choose or change a project, ever. It builds what I tell it to build. If you change priority, it will continue to build what it is currently building until you go into the planet screen and click details. This reset the governor queue.
Uggg, really need an Edit button!!! Original in my post:"I certainly would declare either one totally evil, but they hate each other anyway." It should be "wouldn't" declare either evil. :sniff!:
George, Don't get too hung up on a good vs. good thing. Think in our own real history. There are lots of countries that would be considered "good" that went to war with each other just because. How about the Irish vs. the English in today's world. I certainly would declare either one totally evil, but they hate each other anyway. How about all the religious wars in the Middle Ages. Catholic vs. Protestant (actually relates to Irish vs. English too) was a big one. Not sure if eith
Paul, It is dynamic from game to game. I had one game where I was pretty evil but my best friend was the Torians because I had 3 trade routes with them, traded tech to them all the time and defended them from invasion twice. There wasn't much I could do to make them angry at me other then invade them. Eventually they gave up rather then be overrun by the Yor and gave me all their systems. So being evil or good can, in general, give you decent relations with like minded civs,
George, Be sure to build some ships with high attack value. The AI will fear those more then some defensive ships with high hit points. And diplomacy if *very* important, even late game. Play a few more games, try differing alignments, higher difficulty levels and I think you'll see. :)
Being good or evil doesn't mean that automatically you have good relations with like minded civs. The Alterians are actually Neutral and are a pain in the arss in almost every game I've played. Too keep them off your back you need a strong military and it helps to have a couple trade routes with them. Any of the civs are less likely to go to war with you if a big part of their economy is because of trade with you. They'll go pick on someone else first. Personally I hardly ever trade with th
Just click once on the GalCiv entry and it expands and you'll see all the components. I believe it changed to this with the last SDC update a couple days ago.
Only in one game of mine (all Normal or less) have the Drengin actually been a major power and they eventually cracked under a war with me. What planets I didn't take by force started falling to me via culture and they eventually game up to me (this was all late game mind you). My nemisis if you will is always the Alterians. They always hate me no matter what alignment I am and how much trade I have with them. Torians are usually pretty big every other game or so. I'm usually on the
