I came across a bug. There is a screenshot here http://www.jeffpinard.com/espionage_spending.jpg the espionage spending should have been the exact same as the destabilization spending amount. In this same game, the music, then sound effects cut out after awhile. Never had that happen before. After quitting and reloading the sound came back. I have a savegame if you'd like it. Version 4.0000 - * OS: Win XP Home SP1 * Directx 9 * Processor: Athlon XP 2700+

I just wanted to say you guys ae awesome! I love this game, am looking forward to free expansion pack (though I'd pay for it if you wanted), and hope you guys continue devloping this game with further expansions. Thanks I'm really having fun on my computer for once. Why? I'm playing against good AI that acts humanesque and doesn't cheat. Thanks so much!!
I can't seem to find it.
I cannot seem to "convince" the AI to give me their money even when I'm really strong and all over their space.
Oops, I didn't mean researching it, I meant putting my sliders/money into doing those improvements.
Not true hosen, the ONLY way I have won is technologically and culturally. I and I have done it many, many times culturally.
I think this is one of my problems in having trouble winning at a non-retard level. PLease give me some suggestions on how best to do this. Thanks!
Maybe this is why I'm losing the game while trying to be a warmongering? I always research this first... What do you all think?
I have trouble keeping track of all the enemies ships! Like nasty mosquitos all over the place - maybe I'm using a wrong view?
Wow, there's so many ships flying around I find it hard to see/follow all of them. Any hints in keeping up here?
I think developers have ruined single play experiences by trying to include multiplay. I wish more strategy games were single play only.
Anyone else notice this? I cannot win yet at normal diificulty, and each game was won by either the Torians or the Drengins. How do the Torian's build up so stinking fast?
I wouldn't mind pictures for the minor races :)
Yea! Thank you!
I would like more information on trade and diplomacy. I'm on my 5th game, and am still having trouble getting a handle on these 2 items.
I wanted to invade a "neighbor", but it says the range is too far from a stabase even though it's just one sector away. What techs do I need to research to extend my transport's range?
OK, thanks for letting me know that! Wanted to make sure I wasn't somehow missing it :)
In the manual when you read under Metverse it mentions new AI types that can be downloaded based on how players win. Is this possible, and where do I find the in depth info on how someone won?
I play lots and lots of computer games (and since 1988 I've purchased over 500), and when comparing all of them from the past year, I think Galactic Civilizations is just about the best. Highly refined, very enjoyable, quite customizable, plus the Metaverse to keep track of your exploits... Thanks for making such a wonderful game!
What are some of the best extra library files. which add to the game, but don't unbalance it?
Just wondering if most of you use Stardock Central, or just patch manually? Thanks for your input! :)
How can I say that? Because I am buying it now. After the accusations that the game cheats in the review, I had to come here to find out for myself if this was true. Finding out by reading these forums the fact that it is NOT true (the AI does not cheat), means this is an amazing feat in AI devlopment, and I am now buying the game. It would be neat howveer if the author posted a correction/retraction. Galciv, you can claim defamation of character and/or false reporting and f
