Well maybe i'm too cynical but...
The intent of the White Council is to band together a community of gamers who are interested to Galciv regularly and to contribute to improving the game while being useful members of this forum. The pre-requiste for a White Council member is basic commitment to the above purpose.

Welcome to the Council, Sergey. As I mentioned in my email to you just, I have no doubts as to your commitment to Galciv (I can't keep up wit

I don't recommend +Morale at the start - it gives too insignificant bonus IMHO. I recommend Soil, Habitat, Entertainment Network, Banking Center, Manufacturing Center, Fusion Power Plant Don't forget Advanced Trade -> Galactic Stock Exchange Wonder. 3 freighters is also good. ~SDC~
Ellestar, I was going to post that the starting conditions seem to be the toughest possible setting IMO. It seems that you are getting some kind of perverse pleasure in seeing supporters of GOTM fall flat on their faces on their initial GOTM game.
Feel my wraith now! You don't suggested starting conditions and so on then i asked for this. So now you will be punished by DEATH! //Don't understand meaning of 2nd sentence. May you rephrase this? P.S. "Too easy t
so you should be fine if you just rename (or delete) all the .bik files
Left these 3 files: Menu_Open.bik, Menu_Starbase01.bik, Menu_Starbase02.bik. They are at the standart install (w/o Multimedia). W/o Menu_Open.bik game will not run AFAIK. ~SDC~

I suggest counting building cost too: say, Upkeep+BuidingCost/20 If building can't pay for itself in 20 turns, it's not worth it. Also, you are not counting effect from morale. Neural Net? Info Net? Hm. Better to build RL/RC and maybe GRC. Cultural exchange, News Network, Embassy, Virtual reality - IMHO crap. I tried to do some tests here http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85148, if you are interested My build order for gigantic: Soil, Habit
When the colony ship rush is over, switch to 40-30-30 spending and go for the following goals: produce enough military to keep your rating high enough to avoid threats, get your social infrastructure up to snuff (soil enhancement and habitat improvements are musts, and banking centers are no maintenence so you may as well), keep up in the tech race, try to beat the other civs to galactic wonders and trade goods, and try to secure and harvest as many galactic resources as possible (particu
I think it could be a good thing to tell the yellow star density before you start the game.
Map: Medium, Scattered, Abudant - in starting conditions. Oops... Staffa already answered. -- By the way, thank Staffa for this starting conditions - he told that he'll play on any conditions i choose. These are most difficult IMHO. ~SDC~ [Message Edited]
If you feel this is the AI cheating then you could modify the tech tree file with notepad or another text editor (it's called GCTech.tech and it's in your data subdirectory) and change the entry for stellar cartography to have a cost of 1 and no prequisite - this will give you the exact same identical ability that the AI has. You will only have to research on your very first turn in order to possess it... it won't even affect your metaverse score.
Game data sent to metave

Sugestion: Then planet changes owner (or colonized), store it's starting population (after changing owner/colonization) somethere (say, it will be StartingPlanetaryPopulation). Then someone Invades a planet, remove from a list of possible techs to get all techs with a cost more than (Sum(CurrentPlanetaryPopulation-StartingPlanetaryPopulation)) for all planets in invaded system. ~SDC~
