Well I joined Fellowship since they were the first to invite me. Freedom Force was a fantastic game though... any word on a sequel?

Before I forget - When I decided to cancel my account, I went for a sightseeing tour... I thought maybe I had been avoiding the cool themeparks and been bored doing stupid missions. I walked to Ben Kenobis Hut. It looks just like a player house... and just like a player house I couldn't get in. I walked to the Sarlaac pit. It looked kind of neat. Feeling suicidal, I JUMPED IN... I was sure jumping into the pit would be certain death. Nothing
I work full-time. I play a little after work and a bit on the weekends... what made me decide to quit SWG was easy - not having much fun. There were moments that were neat, but the fun factor was low... and there was too much boring time in between. I have a job in real life, I definitely didn't want to be a crafter (great review above).... but spamming my best attack gets old... there's not that much stragety to it... I got killed ALOT. I basically decided that I h
I think the lower PQ bonus is worth it.... it lets me instantly turn all those AI-avoided 14s into a decent starting planet.
Sure, how do I join? Didn't bother to figure that out either.
I could be wrong, but I think the Leather Goddesses event pcx file needs resizing. I glanced at pcx when I unzipped it, but when I got the event in the game it was a magnified portion of the full pic only. Same thing happened to me when I was resizing Minor Race images on my own once or twice. Not only have I been to lazy to figure out the correct re-size, but I figure I should mention it so maybe everybody else gets the right image too.
Yup, I think that worked. How the heck did you know to do that?
How do you change your nickname? Tried once, all I did was stop my scores from posting.
Hmm... this thread is making me wonder. I tend to colonize 12+. Why? The AI doesn't take them, and I can get them to over 15 with time. I wonder if they are dragging me down in the beginning.... hmm. Maybe I'll stick with 14s.
How do you change your Nickname? It's for posting only, right?
Jagged Alilance and its sequels aer also good X=Com-like games. Better characters, turn based, but no aliens and research. X-Com Terror From the Deep was the first real disappointing sequel for me. X-Com Apocalypse was so-so. I didn't even bother with the X=Com spinoffs. I always thought that what they needed was a remake of the first game.... I'm real excited about UFO Aftermath. Last I heard they scrapped the turn based play and now use a Issue Order/Pause like
Okay the verdict is in. I put my account on E-bay today after a little less than a week. I'm glad I tried the game out, 'cause I would ahve wondered otherwise... but it's not for me. I died more times yesterday than a game of Counterstrike, spent hours and hours walking to get my body... and that's in full armour, with a good gun, and level 3 weapons skills. Everquest was like that too, but I guess I just don't have the patience anymore. The online c

ThelebK, is it just me or is the Marketing scheme bass-ackwards. The way it should be: You have a great game that's ready. You decide you want more than magazine reviews and word of mouth, so you buy ad space. The game is selling well and you get all the store space you need. The way you accurately describe it: You have a game that you want to sell well. You buy lots of ad space and store space. You release the game to coincide with the money you hav
Normally I'd agree with you Robert, free speech and all, but everytime I read a GOOD review about Moo3 I secretly wonder to myself if the person works for Quicksilver. I'm sure they don't, but the thought crosses my head. I was a Die-Hard Moo fan, and they killed me. I can't believe anybody could be happy with that game no matter what patches they do to it. Moo3 just seems so fundamentally flawed. I played Heroes of Might and Magic IV for a good many hour
(I'm playing as Mikel on Sunrunner) I joined the Rebels yesterday at Anchorhead on Tattooine. The game suddenly became much, much more enoyable. The missions are exponentially more fun, the faction perks are neat, the players are all around my ability and are Rebels. I admit the interface is neat. That nobody mentions it is probably a good thing. But if you see bye in chat your character will automatically wave, stuff like that is nice. So far I don't regret buying
Moo2 is probably the game I played most. I was still playing it sometimes right until Moo3 came out. I played Moo3 for a weekend, and kept trying to convince myself that I liked it. Fortunately in my case, the brainwashing never took hold. It did on some people, everybody that says it's a GOOD GAME. The ONLY thing they did right was having very cool animations for diplomacy. Unfortunately diplomacy itself, like almost everythign else, did not actually work properly. <br
I hate monthly fees, but I don't buy any new games when I'm playing MMORPGs so I look at it that way. Although SWG seems Everquest-like, they've improved lots of the annoying everquest things. No problem finding locations or your corpse. The built-in bazaar is like e-bay, I've had no trouble selling ANYTHING (no NPC buyers that I can find). I do think the 80 dollar collector's edition is a big scam. The only real point is the shades. Oh yeah, they give you a female zabrak f
Update: So far I'm having fun playing it. That's the bottom line... hopefully that'll last. I'm sticking to a "fun" character, a fighter with support skills... I'll leave spending all day making weapons or dancing around tables to other people. Seems pretty easy to join groups, sell stuff, etc.
After deciding not to buy it, I made an impluse buy yesterday. I've had it for a day now. I don't have a verdict yet, but my first impression is Everquest with Chewbaccas. The graphics are nice... at least in the tutorial... towns are real laggy and the game a bit (still muching with graphics options)... I have a decent machien and had to buy a new video card just to play it. I've tried out 5/6 of the basic starting professions. Combat is okay, it's intere

Kiwi Greg As in not enough content, does that mean not enough fun stuff to do? What activities have you been doing during playtime? Just get missions and kill vermin spawns? I keep changing my mind as to whether I want to get it or not. KOTOR seems more to my liking.
Yeah I found someone to buy my bard. Got the price of the game and all the monthly fees back. A necromancer guy I played with got a huge profit from his guy on ebay, I was envious. It's been awhile, but I remember that after level 20 the XPs slowed way down. I didn't powerlevel though, it took me a long time to get there. The game hadn't been out that as long, maybe powerlevelling wasn't so common.
I played UO for a year or so. I quit 'cause a guild broke into our keep by cheating and ruined it. I played EQ for maybe 6 months. I had a level 30 bard... but it was too hard to level (the "treadmill") and took too long to really do anything. I ebayed my character and got ALL the money I invested back, though. I'm strongly considering at least trying it though... esp. if you can find something do in 30-60 minutes of playtime. The main thing that is mak
I've got two schemes, both alphabetical. I'll either do a culture theme (first system is African or Argentine or something) or a random cool-sounding name (B is for Balder's Gate, etc). I've tried cities, but the end of the alphabet kills me.
