Does the game crash instantly, or at the turn cycle? If its the turn cycle, you can delete the Events.civ0 in the save game folder and this has cleared up a similiar problem for me. savegame folder is in the data folder.

Gerakken, I do not think its intended that games score this high. This does seem more like an abberation then the way its intended to be.
My game was 2204 with 5.5 trillion. I tested it just now and extorted pop to 7 trillion and that would have raised my score to 11k Extrapolating the change out though, even if I raised it to 13 trillion my score would still only be 17k, and thats assuming a non existent time penality. So perhaps you broke their formula as well :) I had everything but final frontier in both cases. 13trillion on a large? :) thats a bit excessive S
See my 2nd post in this thread if you missed it. Sergey, no worries about getting first like this, you were gonna get it regardless :) After this little bit of confusion is cleared up, lets see if you can keep it :)
The guy with 65 tiny gamese has submitted a crippling score under 1.044 with a result that is less then his 1.040 results. Of course he won via cultural on a tiny So im still stumped as to what is going on.
Between the ingame score and the metaverse there is a little ^.75 modifer that will be applied, on the metaverse your result will be 1988
Something does seem a bit off, I finished up a large maso game and just got 9800 for it, nothing much different from the game that scored 6800 under 1.04.59 Only 3 things I can see. 1. Crippling is messed up scoring wise. 2. You have to start the game under the latest version to get the points for it(I upgraded when the metaverse didnt accept the submission some hours ago), in which case the new scoring system is, as you fear making all the old sco
Huh, my ussual masochistic large game went from 6890 to 9284. And crippling went from low 6000 to 22000. Im a bit confused.
I believe frogboy mentioned somewhere that metaverse results were being modified by ^.75. So this is probably the cause of the discrepency
I have submitted lots of games, never had a problem. Any game I submitted today isnt showing up. Several other people who have had a history of never having a problem before, are having problems With the minor glitch with the recent scores, wondering if the metaverse is currently not accepting submissions from the latest released versions? No worries, just curious if I should keep trying to submit or wait for some fix :) [Message Edi
yea, thats the beauty of i-league, can often be the easiest way into an ememies sector to start cultural bombing them :)
You are all being led to the dark side, are you wise enough to see the truth before you? Id offer you refuge in our embrace, but yea, we don't hide that we are evil, so that probably wont fly :)
Well, the top 4 empires are very close now, we have slipped to 4th, but #1 and #2 are in stricking distance. An improvement over all imo. I tend to agree that the days of the current top 2 empires are numbered.
Ive seen the AI build terror stars, never seen it destroy a system though.
Mine either, tried under 1.04.60 and then again under 1.04.62a, neither worked.
Possible Possible Impossible
This would be cool, would have to be severely penalized though, like 50-75%, but would still be very useful in certain situtations, not overpowering and perhaps not even that hard to code.
Yea, shouldnt be a limit, buuut doesnt mean we cant have fun. Filters Pirates: 1-5 members Pirate Kingdom: 1-10 members Kingdom: 1-25 members Empires: Everyone Default would show everyone, but you could filter the list based based number of members outlined above, fairly harmless though it will cause some empires to limit their membership which may not be the best thing, but might still be worth it. This is called a compromise,
On maso, I trade anything and everything, I got dreadnoughts and you dont, but you have some techs I dont have, you better believe im trading. 1. Your the AI, you will have it soon enough no matter what I do. 2. Its worth a lot in trade! 3. And I can then take what you gave me and trade it to other civs. 4. And then I can take those trades and get the rest of what you had. 5. Every game, several times, I have turned one unique tech
I dont build them anymore, they are way to slow to be considered mobile cultural flippers, much faster to just build another cultural starbase, then wait for it to move to a new sector. As for destroying systems, I have never even done that, what a waste of a good system :) They are pretty though
Yes, would you please? :)
Add your amusing strategies that are effective but not that cheesy. My current favorite amusing strategy is mid game to take my overwelming tech lead and give it all to a minor civ with multiple systems in exchange for thier most populous system. They always go for it. I then build a couple combat transports import a few dreadnoughts and capture their remaining systems with their own people. This just cracks me up.
Er, I use battle cruisers quite often, well, the ones the opponants build, I dont often build any. I either do a corvette rush or wait to frigates and sometimes even battleships.
Wonder if this means another recalc of older games or if all those maso games are now just gonna be holding me back?
Its ok Cataleptic, i saw it too, you have witnesses! Grats Ray on getting the medal back, now um, trip that Sergey guy, he is gaining on me fierce! Down to a mere 400 points :) Nearly done with a large maso, bit rocky for awhile so It wont set any records for the smoothness that the metaverse seems to love, but was fun and should still pack a good whooper(tomorrow). Still amazes me that my tiny that just went perfect, was almost no
