I would actually rather not have the 23k reinstated I have already resubmitted the game with a more reasonable score and I am quite content to let that stand.

I wouldnt mind if my wierd loss went away :)
Ive seen this happen too, though it didnt happen this game. Though this has only happened for me when im actually researching dreads(or some other super expensive tech) and im almost finished. I always assumed the AI was just being tricky, cause I wouldnt actually be gaining much, but if this wasnt so in your case then that would seem odd.
Perhaps many of these people like at least the illusion that they are not wasting their time?
What your describing is a yo-yo economy. What is happening is that the computer is spending way more per turn then its making. It drops down below -500 bc's and automatically all its production is forced to make BC's all his military projects, social projects and tech research are put on hold for that turn and everything he generates goes to BC's This can easily result in a net gain of 5000 bc's In fact when it happens to me in some of my larger<b
Btw, if the save is confusing, the steps to 'end' the game are as follow. Move the dreadnought to the planet(ignoring the drengin dreadnought) and destroy the defender and constructor orbiting the planet. Then land the combat transport on the last drengin system. I used tidal and of the 5b had 3.2billion left. Game over.
Er, im not willing to swear its the drengins, I pretty sure it is. But I know at least one of the majors will move, most of them wont. This is pretty easy to check, just move a big fleet next to an majors system, attack it with one ship and hit turn, see what it does.
For my tiny galaxy the autosave I have it saved at the turn the game ended, the autosave is the turn before and the previous autosave is 4 turns back, as I was moving in to capture the last AI. My last save is right before I attacked the first minor. I did not manually save between those two points and as I set my autosave to be frequent( considering the crashes I experience at higher pops) I dont have a very robust list of saves.
Um, what email? and any particular saved game or point in the saved game you looking for? [Message Edited]
Btw, here are some other 'exploits' If you attack a race(your not at war with) they will the first turn pop out the vast majority of their fleet but not move it. This tends to leave their planets relatively undefended and if in that first turn you can capture every system, the vast fleet they popped out of their systems will all disappear at the end of the turn(no support and all that) The problem. I can pop out a fleet from a planet and m
And while im trying hard to not be defensive, I would apperciate it if you wouldnt throw around words like exploits. Tradegoods are overpowering yes, but by saying im exploiting leaves a negative impression upon me. You will not often find players in your community that find how to 'legally' break your games and then come immediatly forward and state exactly how they did it and why its wrong. I would hope you would take a kindlier approach to the light
I do not fear a situtation where my strategies are undone, I relish it.
I would agree that tradegoods are sick, I have stated this several times. I perfer a situtation where they are not buyable, but whatever fixes the problem.
My mistake. I traded the enemy empire down to just battleships and dreadnoughts when I captured him. I was researching battleships and was very close to having it. I had a 50/50 shot of getting dreadnoughts or battleships and I got dreadnoughts and then finished battleships the same turn. I probably should have waited but the guy just left his only system totally undefended(after warning me to remove my fleet) Probably in a move to attack my s
Perhaps the problem with the tech tree is that it lets you research items if you have the direct prequisites? If I skip a few techs but trade for the one right before it, it will let me research the next one. Which is probably often the case with how I 'research' dreadnoughts, as for its immediate prequisites is only battleships.
I will explain step by step how I won my tiny universe rare. I went straight to diplomacy and bought diplomatic translaters. I then went straight to aphrodesiac and bought that. I then trade aphro with the minors for quite a few techs and with the majors for the rest except defense and industry which are both hard to trade for. I then researched industry myself, its a cheap tech to research. I then got the tech that lets you build
Im not modifying the tech tree, in my last game I went straight to frigates via research, though im sure I traded for defense theory/photons/phasers etc and started capturing majors. The 3rd major I took out had just finished researching dreadnoughts right before I launched my invasion. I made sure to trade for all the tech I was missing of theirs, so only dreadnoughts was left, naturally when I captured their planet(they hadnt built any dreadnoughts yet) I
Now im curious what parameter got my game removed :)
About the damage, are you sure you just didnt research something that gave you a hitpoint bonus, or gained a tradegoods that does the same?
Well, dead people cant join your empire..... Have to give the fear time to work :)
Pop growth is nice, but speed is better. Growing population on twice as many planets is greater pop growth and greater production and greater pop limit. And I think you mean moo3 not civ3
Tiny rare all incrediable AI, no mods, no cheats lost quite a few points reporting it, but hey we still ahead of Midwest empire by like 200 points :) [Message Edited]
Dont forget to flip your alignment over to evil so you can research both evil and good techs. It amuses me that you can do this. :)
Oh and Fifth, the metaverse already is and has been tracking modded games for sometime. Why one of your games did not get removed for a few hours, I dont know the mechanics of how its done, but they do remove heavily modded games. None of my games are modded, so really, your major beef is already taken care of, perhaps not as effectively as it should be, but more then nothing.
