Actually its pretty major for me considering how I format my submitions, but for mosts its rather minor :) This is a fairly new change, but when you edit your posts hard returns are duplicated. Hence any hard return after editing occurs twice. Basicily it forces me to delete all the "br"'s from my thread as I edit it, which is somewhat tedious as I tend to have a lot of em :) [Message Edited]

Is that using 20% or 5%? The decay rate is a lot faster then I would have thought using 5%. I did say that 20% is just too quickly show how the data would change. In actuality I would use 5%. [Message Edited]

Another suggestion is to just base the morality choices on a random number generated using the base the seed of the game plus the planet id. This way while its still random from a player perspective it will always be the same event regardless of how many times you save and reload. [Message Edited]

Just finished a game using 1.05.69, it reported as a 1.044 game with the same scoring method(or at least the score needed to be modified by ^.75 to get the actual score the metaverse reported). Though many of the changes where included from 1.05, such as the new governers list etc.

Though if you want to save me the trouble of number crunching and do some more graphs, as you seem to enjoy it more so then I. Do some datasets that are more typical, where a player at first improves signifigantly and then continiously gradually improves, assume the metaverse scoring system is static and we dont have the bizare score inflation.

Im tired but will address this further tomorrow, though the point is purely acedemic. I just wanted to say that I would much rather fall off the face of the metaverse competetly then be left at 20% of my peak. Better to be removed then to be player number 32,301

Actually, assuming CM did the math right, cause I didnt actually check him. He said that it peaks at 10 months, then goes down for 2 years and then heads off into the wide infinite(though limited) open. Of course this assumes identical games played consitantly CM wants to change the numbers but keep the method. My posistion is that the system is flawed and the numbers he wants to use just mask that flaw with the data set he is using to test it.

Biggest single thing I can think of is not focusing your early game enough to maximize your potential. You want to set your government spending to 100% it defaults at 50%. and depending on the map, you probably want to expand to new systems as fast as possible, so put the military spending to at least 70% with the rest in research(ie zero out social spending for awhile) And build lots of colony ships and a scout or two Dont send more then 2
