If he's discussing what I think he's disgusting, then you don't need to worry about these "Yuppie puppies" being viewed sympathetically....

I feel that I should add that both Ann and I are blanket-stealers to a certain extent, so having three blankets on the bed is very important; we can each steal one and still keep warm all night. Of course the quilted blanket (which my mom made for me, it's really nice) that goes on top is huge, so it's very hard to steal completely, but I often manage to end up with a foot or a shin sticking out from under it. I've also been known to wake up with the

1/ Nocturnal apparel: Pajama pants. 2/ Abnormal activities: Not sure if you can really call snoring abnormal, but perhaps the volume which I can achieve is a bit beyond the norm. 3/ Cover Type: flannel sheet, and then enough blankets to get warm quickly but without weighing too much. We have a nice comforter but it's too thick and heavy for me. 4/ Slumber Style: I sleep on the right side of the bed (as you're

Well, if they can't agree on a new budget, then every program could continue at 99% of its previous level of funding. And if they're really reduced to "No, repopulating the Arkansas mongoose is more important than studying the effects of cosmic radiation on biodegradability in landfills!", let them bicker all they want. If they can agree on the top 100 or so things, and pass that budget separately, and then argue til they're blue about all the ra

Bush took those numbers, assumed they would ultimately exist and gave a huge tax cut based off of them I have to disagree with your characterization of the tax cut. Bush looked at the economy, saw that it needed a big boost to get it back on track after (a) a recession and (b) an act of terrorism, and

8) I will randomly burst out in singing my favorite Christmas carols/songs/hymns with all the energy and gusto I can manage! All together, loudly: Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg, The Batmobile lost a wheel, The Joker got away! Okay, next song:<b

Today, tomorrow, and half of Saturday, I am alone with my child. Ann is off to San Francisco for a business trip (a training seminar, to be precise), and so Krystal and I have to survive on our own for a few days. So far, I am happy to say (all of 24 hours after dropping Ann off at the airport, 16 if you count instead from the time I picked Krystal up from d

By the way, I have seen a few posts that were obviously attempting to be spam, but everything after the introductory "Hey, you might want to check out these links about ..." was missing. I dunno if you were intending to only whack the lines of links or if you wanted to kill the entire message, but if it's the latter then you probably still have some tuning to do.

Thanks, everybody! SPCNS, I hadn't even thought of doing a "theme wedding" for this, and it's too late now, but I like the idea... a net for a veil, the flower girl scatters ping-pong balls down the aisle, a flat green cake with white lines, and (for the Extreme TT Enthusiast) Jan-Ove Waldner as the honorary officiant... sounds good to me! Marcie (and anyone else in or near Vegas), if you want to show up, you certainly can! Monday,

I'm sure this will shock and amaze someone (not sure who, but there's gotta be at least ONE person SOMEWHERE), but my daughter was born, and at this time remains, out of wedlock. But that's about to change! We've got plane tickets, chapel reservations, a hotel room, a best man, a bridesmaid, and someone to help my darling cutie baby to be a flower girl. We'

Too many people make big wedding plans and no contingencies, and then run around like crazy people when the tiniest thing goes wrong. A wedding is generally a large event, it takes a lot of effort to get it all to come off smoothly, and most people don't have the experience to keep track of everything and keep things moving. Pick a wedding that's of a manageable size, or get a professional planner if you're determined to go all-out.

Kick down the stall door and snap a photo of a "Flush Yuppie".... Or record the passing of your pet fish as a "Flush Guppie"... Or tag a dismissive '60's holdover as a "Pish Hippie"...

Tex, if you're still using VillagePhoto, just select the album you want, click on "image tools" under the pic you want, and scroll down a ways to the "resize and/or compress" box. Fill in a width, leave the "Maintain Aspect Ratio" box checked (which will cause the height to be figured for you), and click the Resize/Compress button.

darpa will 'leave no stone unturned' in their quest Yes, they're determined to 'stamp out' the bioterror issue once and for all. Once this program gets out from underfoot and can stand on its own, it'll really start to fly, and suck the threat right out of chemical attacks. Terrorists will feel its s

I have a lovely little office. It's only 8x12, but it's a corner office with a window. Two bookshelves, a table, a desk, two chairs, and my collection of Dilbert plush dolls (the 6" variety) on top of my monitor, and it's quite a cozy nook. Except that it's November, and our heating unit isn't working right. My desk is right next to the window. My

I'm actually near dry heaves over that one, thank you very much! Ohhh, so close to success.... I knew I should have gone into more depth about just where is this sore located, can you squirt some of the pus onto a finger (or lick it out and then wipe it onto your finger), what does the pus smell like ri

Tex, it's probably from when you accidentally bit the inside of your cheek while you were stuffing your face with pie. Clearly what you need is a little "hair of the dog"--bite that bad boy again, and suck out all that pus. Spray in a little whipped cream straight from the can to mask any flavor issue you might have. Be sure to poke and prod around with your tongue afterward, and feel free to squeeze the sore between your teeth to milk out
