Apparently you are wrong ;) The file can still be found on NeoTech: http://www.neotechgaming.com/forums/index.php?automodule=downloads&showcat=77 [Message Edited]

You need your serial, a PC with Internet access, and the Stardock Central http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe When you PC does not have Internet access or only low bandwidth you can download it on another PC and transfer it via the archiving function of Stardock Central.
We had this discussions many times. And no, the AI does not cheat. It doesn't do anything you couldn't. It simply knows better than you how to achieve these things. One key is diplomacy. The AIs don't research everything by them self. When a game is finished, check the stats screen and you can see that they got most of their techs via diplomacy.
PQ is very important. Since there is an income cap of 4 times PQ it is the only effective way to increase your income in the endgame. Higher PQ means higher productivity, better moral, the possibility to colonize planets with PQ The problem with this bonus is the same as with all other boni in GC. All digits after the decimal point are cut off. i.e. to increase the value of a PQ 20 planet you need 5%. With 4% you would have only 20,8 which is cut down to 20 a
You can find the version info on top of the options page. Did you restart the game before playing another game? I would try that and additionally rename prefs.ini in the AP folder and try whether it helps. You don't have to play a game to the end until you can find out that something is wrong with the Metavers. Simply give away all your planets to the AI and you have lost the game ;p
Did you upgrade to 1.52? I believe that I have read your symptom in a release note :notsure: Did you navigate through the campaign or scenario menus before you started or submitted the game? By the way, nice to hear that someone from the first screens is active again.
Switching off victory conditions does not have a negative effect on your score.
By the way, you can submit a single game two times. The second time it overwrite you score, but the date remains the same. You can use this to play your submitted games a second time but this time end with an military win.
You get much more points for Military Conquest wins. Have a look here http://www.galciv1.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=198647#198686 You can get a military win without a single shot, when you disable culture win and assimilate all AIs. Unfortunately it is much easier to get 60k with AP. AFAIK the biggest difference is 7 AIs versus 5 AIs. This is a bit inconsistent since for me it is easier to play against more AIs due to better diplomacy possibilities (i.e. trading technologies).<br
Great :CONGRAT: Together with Tregonsee and Captain Donos we have a very good chance to bring the Jedi Republic on the second place in the Metaverse before the year ends :HOT:
Isn't there a Join button on the page from the link above?
Hi Faello, what about joining the Jedi Republic Empire http://www.galciv1.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=336 ? I have plans to raise my score in summer (I'm already collecting games on my HD for some time). There will be only a view thousand points missing to get the Jedi Republic on the second place.
Hi, find answers here http://www.galciv1.com/forum.asp?BID=GS&id=203976#204912
I don't wont to write a complete beginners guide here but unfortunately the links I got are broken :sniff!: Thus I will try to give some hints. I try to get a good start, which is a PQ 20 Earth in the middle of the galaxy. I) 1st thing to do is to go to the economy screen. You need to know about the relation of tax rates and moral (i.e. approval). For the first years adjust the tax slider in the way that your moral stays at 100%. This doubles your population
AFAIK it adds up. You and your trade route partner will benefit from the second starbase.
I know only the 40% PQ rule. This is the only one I had problems with. When you use mods from the LIBRARY it is the only one you need to watch out. I know that there are others e.g. you must not have too much money in the first years etc.
In GC1 you can submit games with mods to the Metaverse when they don't break some "secret rules" (e.g. your civilization ability must not exceed 40% for PQ bonus). In GC2 you can't use mods for Metaverse games.
If you think that us Americans are cruel to the environment, you should pay attention to India and China. They have virtually no environmental rules at all. The air is much worse there.
Yes indeed. But they have a very good excuse. When a rich country like the US doesn't care why should we? It makes the mistakes of the American government even worse.
In the GC1 forum you have the following buttons on the left side: Galactic Forum Strategies Mods Empires The button on the bottom is for the Empires area.
Don't worry. I doubt that there is any moderation in this forum any more :HOT: Very interesting film. It's a pity what human beings can do to other creatures. But maybe it's even more cruel what the Americans do with our global environment. This will not only kill much more animals, but humans, too.
This was a decision of the developers to make saving and reloading faster. The influence numbers become rebuild in two or three turns after reloading.
Yes, the server for many GC1 empire sides is down. It's just like in Star Wars. The Republic is dead. There are just a few of us fighting against the Dark Side.
I will never ever buy Vista or a PC which comes bundled with Vista. I already have dual boot with Linux. Wine WWW Link">WineHQ made big steps forward in the last month and even directX 10 is not out of range WWW Link">WineConf 2006 (search for "Direct3D10"). The Wine developer are very helpful and willing to fix issues. Many games already run out of the box <a href="http://appd
What about reloading the autosave file :SURPRISED: ?
Hi Spaceslug, some hints: - use your initial money and set your spending at the beginning to 100%. - set tax rates for the first two years to the value where you can maintain 100% moral (= approval), 100% moral doubles your initial population growth, this pays back later on - concentrate your spending at the beginning to 100% military to get your scouts and colony ships out fast, the initial rush is very important, the more planets with PQ >= 15 you get the better -
