bpleshek is right on--a really 3D galaxy is only really viable if you use starlanes (like in Ascendancy... I actually still have that game :)). Without those, you'd have ships strewn all over the place and you'd have no way of telling where the heck they really are. Of course, this isn't a problem anyways since Brad already said GC2 will just be a 2D galaxy renered in a 3D engine... [Message Edited]

AFAIK, Intelligence is only the prime attribute for wizards... aside from that it really just nets you extra skill points. Plus, we only really need one wizard (so we have every possible spell we may need) and I would prefer a sorceror but it's your character so it's your choice :p [Message Edited] [Message Edited]

That too, Sorcerors gain new spell levels one level slower than wizards. BUT, the Wizard will only have 2 castings at his next level (and not gain the next casting for two more levels!), while the Sorceror will start that level with 3 (then gain another casting per level 'till he reaches a base of 6). At level 20 (as if you'll ever get that far :p) A Sorceror will have 6 castings of each level each day (plus whatever he gets from his CHA bonus), while a Wizard will have 6 cantrips, 5 fr

Sorcerors: -Prime Attribute is Charisma. -Have slightly different spells per level per day advancement, resulting in a few more spells per day. -Can cast any combination of known spells within each level each day. -Only gain spells at level up. You CANNOT learn spells from scrolls. Wizards: -Prime attribute is Intelligence. -Get slightly fewer castings per day than a Sorceror. -Must memorize spells in advance to be cast the

The spells are the same between sorcerors and wizards, it's just a matter of how many you get to pick and how you cast... as long as you don't pick crappy spells, a sorceror is great, but a wizard is just as good if you can memorize efficiently :p

The problem with socialized prescriptions is that either (1) the government blows ridiculous amounts of YOUR tax money on it or (2) they put price ceilings and the drug companies run out of money to fund R&D. They then either roll over and die or outsource to other countries. In fact, it is very likely that (1) and (2) will both happen. Welfare, in and of itself, is not a bad thing. It is very easily and commonly abused though. It should only be for those who are truly in need.... and

Ok, now time for the extended info: Sol Darkwood, Human Male Monk, Lawful Neutral, Age 23 Appearance: Sol has a squarish jaw, with a well-trimmed goatee. He has longish hair pulled tightly back and tied, then cropped where a ponytail would be. He is normally dressed loosely in drab, unsophisticated clothing, and carries a quarterstaff over his shoulder with a small bag (containing his few possessions) tied to it. He is easily mistakable for a travelling peasant

I was going to do a bit of Diplomacy too, but in this case I'll just drop CHA a bit and boost WIS more, and dump the couple of extra skill points into combat/stealth skills instead. Also with the diety info out now I'll probably refine my character background. Stay tuned. [Message Edited]

In that case I'll either just switch and stay a druid or not switch at all (but still have a good bit of knowledge about druidness)... after all, high level monks basically become demigods, so that would be fun too :P Also, if you can, put out a little more info on the skills (how useful/necessary they are, mostly) since I haven't a sourcebook and NWN uses a simplified subset of them (some condensed and others thrown out) and I'm not really familiar with them as such. I'll be doing the Monk as planned. I know that in 3.5e Monks aren't allowed to go back to their Monk class after they multi, but if they can go back and forth in 3.0 or you're willing to bend the rules for me then I'll probably add on some Druid later on. [Message Edited]

Hey is there any chance we can up the stat buy points from 26 to 30 (since NWN uses 30) then we can just generate stats in NWN and not have to bother with doing it by hand (plus we get slightly better stats :P)

Having the ability to ignore patents would be a good counterpoint to the fact that, if I'm not mistaken, you can't use trade routes if you quit the UP. Of course if you were able to rejoin the UP, there would have to be something to penalize you, such as losing any TGs/wonders that were gotten first by another race, or having to pay massive licensing fees for them :p

Some background on my character: Sol was a lonely man. Both of his parents had been druids, and he was raised in their grove. One day when he was young though, he wandered off from the grove and became lost in the forest. After wandering aimlessly for several hours, he smelled a faint wisp of smoke on the wind. He knew it was no mere campfire, as it carried the scent of burning flesh--human flesh. Sol ran upwind as quickly as he could. Nearly exhausted, he arrived at the smoke'

Well I think I've got my choices nailed down... I'll start out as a monk, and later on I'll either take some levels in shadowdancer (if you do prestige classes) or druid (if not)... luckily in 3E druids can be any neutral and not just true neutral, so the monk/druid multi should work out ok if I'm lawful neutral.
