ok, lesson lesson: without going into the ettiqette of web graphics, how can you make graphics in the style you are using load quicker? draw up your graphic and go to 'save for web'.. i'm assuming you're using photoshop. if using a flat graphic, a gif is the way you want to go. if it has shade sor gratients, use jpg. your center panel will show a preview of your graphic with the settings a

ugoin, that welcome text is a graphic 45kb large. a user on a 56k modem going an average of 40 will load that graphic alone in 10 seconds. with all the other graphics and that page, you're looking at a nightmare for dialup users. play some more with the 'save for web' option, if using photoshop or illustrator.. and using the optimization options if in image ready. optimal loading time for a page is no longer then 12 seconds. or, if you can get an 'educational copy' of Fireworks, it might do you

i know what he means.. even if you've fully hidden the task bar (on OB or OD load, for example) it pops back if some programs like windows update or norton antivirus flash a message from the system tray. in my case, i have Novel software constantly sending me stuff so the taskbar never stays gone. is there a .dll or .ini file that can be edited to compeltely 'not load' the task bar? i know you can use a script to enable explorer to run the task bar seperately from the desktop and shell,

there is a windows powertoy that does certain things like capture at intervauls.. it MIGHT be able to do that.. but it looks like they switched their site around again and i can't find a link.. sorry go to www.microsoft.com/windows and see what you can dig up.

oh man. that thing pulled up my webzine from 4 years ago memories. i lost that stuff when my media went to hell, i can use that to regain some text. very cool stuff.
