don't get me wrong, i'm not nearly a guru if and when my potential? its a difference in style only-i'm sure you'd kick me if you knew the extent of my coding skills. you made it sound like you're going to construct a site just to satisfy exactly what you think only i'd want to see, because i'm an elitist or something. please consider my comments only recomendations based opon what i know of information desi

sorry wstaylor, been busy. i think i'm the critic around here so i'll give it a go. (by the way if anyone is ever wondering where in the hell i think i have the room to talk: i'm not a web developer. i'm a designer. i look at design, but i myself can't get beyond html and some perl. so don't fus at me 'cause my own stuff isn't very advanced. my credentials: www.balletnj.com www.mverzella.com www.nittanyentertainment.com www.lfriscoll.com) . that being said. to touch on what othe

for the love of all that is holy, lose the animated gifs the text is nice and readable but the site is hell to navigate it seems to be a flip through gallery which isn't bad but consider putting the 'next' and 'back' buttons at the top of the page as well - under your header, above the content.. so it can be leafed thr

wait. hold on. simple solution. grab an admin and find out what file it is that bootskin alters. the one with the correct wall paper paths and so on. get in under safe mode. it has to be possible.. you can always get into a machine BEFORE windows, even if you have to go straight to dos. drag the file off of your external media and it where it belongs. that.. should work.

agreeing with ghos to an extent. younger users who just play games seem to have the crowded, flashy desktops.. the developers need streamlined desktops with quick access to commands and navigation. but even by catching admin comments on 'what the community wants' (wink, karmagirl ), artwork has been created that isn't anything really different then what has already been done. there is still a need for the va

this is why i avoid bootskins sput i think you're on to something there.. the hibernation image is different from the login image and it is probobly being lumped over like the other one - to something that doesn't exist. i'd like to see if anyone else would swap out their hibernating computer's boot skins just to see what happens. i won't try it on mine, i don't want to touch the things <img src="h

in other words, don't think of monitor 1 as monitor 1 anymore. if object bar only displays on the primary monitor, simply switch their positions on the desk so that the primary monitor is on the left. then drag all of your normally primary monitor stuff to the right - except of course for what you want to remain on the side. in your display properties, you also have to tell windows that the monitors are now physically in different positions (so when you drag the mouse off the screen it goes to t

its an addition bar. say you have a vertical 'start' menu that you've created.. you create a new bar, give it the name 'sys tray' or something. then add a container to that bar. tell that container to be a system tray (when you're defining the properties, there will be an option for system menus, sys tray, etc). then make a shortcut in your original bar that pops up the new bar with the sys tray in it. hope that makes sense/helps.

my roof is leaking hey, its related to water. we have buckets all over the place. city violations and scheduled for prosecution and the damn landlord still doesn't want to return my phone calls or sign for my certified snail mail letters. i can't hire a roofer either, because the amount of repairs would exceed the amount of rent due for the remainder of the year. china, i'
