never had stability problems as long as i kept my machine cool. the only quirks is that once in a while i hang on boot ups.. that is, pre-windows loading. then i have to shut down, turn it on and try it again. but every now and then windows patches to include newer and more diverse processors.

a good rule of thumb is don't open anything anyone sends you unless you've spoken with them over the phone or in person. this goes for aol, earthlink, the 'bank', or any software company. basically don't engage in any kind of interaction with someone claiming to be from something else unless you've gone to them or you get a letter in the mail. knew a guy who just had his identity stolen.. got a message from 'earthlink' telling him they needed to update his account info because a check b
i never knew there was a limit.. i bought OD just after i found this place 'cause i wanted to whip my taskbar with a stick. i don't think i could handle 50 megs of wall papers.
email virus? WHERE!!! OH $#!^ !! say it ain't so!!! *boards up his windows and doors*
i type slow. read my edit. and you're right, you absolutely don't need a 64 bit unless you've got the cash to burn. i think any of the athlons will have really great gaming push. i use them and swear by them because i've found them to be very good with graphics/rendering.
corner 3 i scrolled until i saw "athlon" ..most bang for any buck. failing corner 3, go to corner 4. *grins evily* given the money, why would you pass up on that 64 bit processor? edit: if you're looking to spend abotu 500$ DEFINITLY athlon. you can get a processor/board/cooling kit combo, drop it in any case - add a 20$ 500watt powersupply and 512 meg of memory and you'll be at 400$, sound and lan built into the board. if you want a specialty sound card and video card

so how is stardock going to check and approve the translations?
thank you, essencay, for bringing back such wonderful memories of catholic school *shudders* now they wonder why i'm buddist.
it took me a little bit to figure out how the docket's worked and where they go.. kept downloading the sdk thing only to realize i didn't need it. when you get a docklet just drop it in the docklets folder and it should show up in the list if it was created properly.
hehe there was another story about a shark... guy in australia was bitten by a small shark and couldn't get it off his leg, so he drove to get help with the thing still clamped on there.
my gf's studio display's got one or two of those dead pixels. sucks. like 2,000$ screen. at least my buddy got lucky with his powerbook.. had a warrenty so they replaced his screen. it was all ghosty.
heh i sort of have that now, with object bar, object dock, and explorer all being seperate.. if one fails i use one of the others to launch it
"launch windows desktop in a separate process" By default Windows creates one multi-threaded Explorer process which contains the Desktop, Taskbar and all other explorer instances. If one of these instances fails, all instances will fail. When enabled, this setting causes Windows to create separate processes insulating them from other failures. <br
wow those are some funky cases. newegg is cool, i got my athlon from them. evil, anything Pentium is too much money i went hunting for a 428 pin p4 processor to go with a mainboard someone gave me.. for the same price as the one processor, i got an athlon 2800 processor and board kit with cooling fan. go athlon and pay much less and get - in my opinion, much more quality. i swear by the athlon chip
pricewatch.com .. you tell it what you want and what you want to pay, and it gives you the item and vendor list. very very useful. you have to be careful because these smaller, random companies don't have the customer service something like comp usa has.. but you can get anything for about half the retail price. just got my old man a new athlon 2800 with everything in it for 400 bucks, minus the monitor. good luck eer.. pricewatch = esseceny's link [Message Edited]
Sea Lion Found Stranded Far from Ocean Wed February 11, 2004 09:59 AM ET By Gina Keating LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Why did the sea lion cross the road in central California farm country? That's what state wildlife officials were trying to figure out on Tuesday, a day after a male sea lion was spotted wandering in a farmer's field about 65 miles inland and about a mile from a canal, the nearest body of water. Police and wildlife officials in Los Banos were sk
i don't mind people making png's of the default icons for use in object bar, or tracing the icons larger for people who enjoy using larger icons. if its the same exact thing though (i don't use that program) then.. yeah.. that's pretty silly. i do agree though there are many many office icons.. however it doesn't bother me, anyone is allowed to try and perfect their own version.. and all of them really do have their differences. i found one i liked a while ago and stuck with it.
#25 you can say whatever you want online as long as she doesn't know your alias. my gf is also into mac.. she doesn't use the same sites i do.
i retired the trinny today.. for anyone who follows my rants, you'd find i was VERY attached to that monitor :/ you can't beat the color and brightness of a sony trinitron. after some quick scouring online i decided i didn't have the funds or critical need to get another trinny, so i went down to staples and picked up a 19" true flat envision to be a big brother for the 17" envision i got a couple weeks ago. i have to say i'm very impressed. for 200$ and 100$ respectively, the monitors
