That is a feature of Windows rather than Start11. That specific shortcut may have a setting enabled on it to block pinning, but that would be something Firefox had set. Or if it is all apps then something in Windows. Removing Start11 should make no difference to this issue. With regards to the labelling of version, I would imagine deactivation and reactivation would resolve that.

If there is no improvement for your use case as you don't want / need any of the enhancements, then yes sticking with v3 would make sense for you. Don't worry we are not forcing v4 on anyone, your v3 will continue to work as it did before and it is downloadable from your store downloads page.
There seems to be an issue with 2.5.5.4 that when an app is open, hovering over the app in the taskbar manifests an Explorer icon with a blank thumbnail. I have rolled back to 2.5.3.1 which alleviates this issue and the Group texture issue I reported here https://forums.stardock.com/538357/page/1/#3979058 FYI: 2.5.5.3 didn't have this issue, so it was introduced w

When you say network folder, what do you mean exactly? A flyout from the Start11 menu, a pinned group mapped to that, or in Windows Explorer itself? Also your PC hasn't just updated to the 25H2 update of Win11 has it as if it is an explorer window being slow I wouldn't expect Start11 to have any interaction with that at all.
Just ignore the message if you need that set as it doesn't stop anything working. You just have to click it off everytime. REALLY??
You have two choices for now 1. Remove the test registry key and use Firefox as before with the unskinned file open dialogs.
Neil Banfield, I removed the reg entry, error message has stopped appearing. thanx, barry
The regkey is just a test workaround for the Firefox issue. Just ignore the message if you need that set as it doesn't stop anything working.

I don't believe Stardock have ever stopped a license working just because the software is no longer supported. To the best of my knowledge your Start10 should continue to work and activate as before but obviously only on Win10. It does not work on Win11 were you to upgrade, but Start11v2 supports Win10 and Win11. Is it possible your Start10 was an upgrade to Start8 as that might be a reason why it says 0 of 0 on that one.
I now have a month's worth of dump files but still nowhere to send them. And I've given up on the problem. The Windows 11 native menu may be nearly useless, but it is at least stable, so with some reluctance I'll go back to using that.
If you are able to upload them to say a dropbox account or similar then you can send me a private message on this forum with the link.

Nothing Start11 is doing should impact any third party UI. It will of course impact the menu itself which isn't entirely RTL aware. It looks like the issue is the text is rendered flipped hence being looking unreadable. If you do a flip horizontal in that screenshot you should see it is readable text before it was painted backwards. I will see if there is a simple fix for this particular issue.
My local network with no/minimal other traffic. This attempt started with a slow trans speed reaching 18mbs at best and after 3mins 16secs it just disappeared with about 2 thirds completed.
Thats a very slow speed. MP4 is capable of saturating 5GBit lans, so 18mbs is extremely slow. Is it copying from or to a slow drive?
Yeah, from my experience there’s definitely a limit. I think around 500–600 MB is where it tends to choke, at least on my setup. If you need to send bigger files, you might have to split them up or use a proper file-sharing method instead of pasting.
We have transferred multi GB files here using MP4. But the speed of the network is critical. Those speeds are unexpectedly low.
Thanks for your reply. The receiving PC has 339GB free and the transfer speed is somewhat variable between 40mbs at the start to over 70 when it fails. I've just retried a transfer of 571Meg at it got close to the end and just disappeared. I should mention I am using a Pro trial version to evaluate the product. p.s Win 11 Pro at both ends.
