Hmm, if you are sure that all the images are there I don't get it. Maybe I could have a look at it myself?
Heh, when I first started coming here and thought about making a WB skin I was lost, didn't know where to begin. But luckily I got help, so will you Nick Anytime, drop a line
You copied some of the code from the UIFILE.txt file, but it's not that you should look in. Look in theme.ini, count the lines downwards to line 18. It'll look something like this: UserFrameSelected=YourSkinName_FileName.bmp You have to make sure all the sections of the logon are assigned to the correct images in your logon folder.
It probably means that you're linking to a non-existing image on line 18 in your theme.ini file. You have to make sure all images are linked correctly.
It says the unmodified theme may be freely redistributed. I read that as, the msstyle - as it is - may be redistributed anywhere. However you ported it to WindowBlinds and you need the authors permission to do so. He must know you ported it to WB and give you his consent. Even if you haven't changed the colors or anything like it.
In IconPackager's dialog, you gotta pick a package and then click apply.
I believe CS added nested layers, folders with folders of layers in them. Great for the layout process of a skin. Other new things that I benefit from is the healing brush and patch tool, really awesome for photo retouch that I do a lot of at work. Also Adjustments -> shadow/highlight (RGB) can really make a bad photo much easier to work with. Check out danillo's comment #5 to this article http://adam.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=2574&SI
I think that's weird since I have no problem. I create the image from scratch, then do the alpha channel last (remember you can only have 1 alpha channel in a tga, if you have more it won't work). Then I save as 32 bit tga, and it works like it should in SS.
Might be, I've seen other complain about tga's in CS. However I've never had any problems doing it manually
Oh like that... Well PS flattens the image, so it will automatically get a white background. TGA's can't be transparent the same way as a PNG can. It's transparency is defined in the alpha channel. I suspect you're gonna use a tga for a skin, make sure you enable Transparency and Translucency for your image and watch the result in SkinStudio.
It's all in the alpha channel you define. White areas = visible, black areas = invisible. Simple as that.
The rest looks like some stuff _Martin_ might have made for DesktopX: http://martin.wincustomize.com/
It's always been like that with XP, I think.
Yeah that's XP for ya, hit tab and you can switch between them instead of using your mouse.
The animations must be 272x60 px in size. Obviously you choose the program to make the animations in, Flash, Photoshop etc., but in the end you have to save it as an compressed MSRLE 8bit avi. A program like Gif Movie Gear is widely used by people here: http://www.gamani.com/
Stardock hasn't made any apps for Mac customization. You'll need to visit http://www.unsanity.com who offers plenty. You can use CursorXP skins with Mighty Mouse though. For icons you would need CandyBar: http://iconfactory.com/cb_home.asp There aren't many skins yet for ShapeShifter, but it's getting more popular. To see what's going on in the Mac GUI community you could try these sites: http://macthemes.net/ http://forums.ma
Line 14 looks similar to this in your skin: ButtonUnDock=Skinname_Button_Background.bmp You have to make sure all those image files are linked correctly.
That's how it works Have you set it to autohide? And have you checked the Z-order? Maybe you should set it to bottom.
Happy birthday Koasati
Most likely because you're linking to a non-existing image in your Theme.ini file on line 14.
If you have SP2 installed, read this: https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=165&AID=59459#0 Just doubleclick the .CursorXP file you've downloaded.
Might be a content margin issue. Open the skin in SkinStudio, in the left tree go to Taskbar -> System Tray -> Horizontal Tray, then in the right tree -> Content Margins adjust the Top and Bottom values.
Heh, I have tons of icons too (927 mb), a bit much to look through Glad to be of assistance.
