Oh I want my link posted too
You can edit the background color by adjusting the classic colors in the skin.
It's probably because it's experimental or at alpha stage if you wanna put it like that. It will probably get refined over time.
You found it. Take a look at Frogboys port of Inspirat, it uses them. You'll know what is what.
We don't even know how Aero Glass looks like, how are we gonna port it? Aero Glass won't be known until probably the second beta (RC) of Longhorn. Most likely it has transparent glass borders, which cannot be duplicated in XP.
First things first. No spyware at all. Don't assume that just because you got some from another place. It runs in the background, but uses very little memory. Mine is currently on 668 kb. If you unload XP's theme service you'll actually be using less memory than if you were just running the XP theme service. Too fast for the slowtyper Mike [Message Edited]
There's some good help to find in Sysmetrix. Just right-click the theme you're using and select Sysmetrix Documentation.
Alright, alright - they're on their way
Isn't that a Windows 2000 thing? XP doesn't have that.
I think *.ocx are ActiveX scripts. I don't know what that exact one does. Maybe you can get a little more help by contacting Xymantix. He might know what's going on?
Hmm too bad he's not around anymore. It would've been nice. On the other hand I shouldn't see that as a problem. If he could make it so can the Stardock developers I guess? Even though there's probably a lot of work in it? I'm probably asking for too much here, I'll just leave it as wishful thinking. [Message Edited]
You can't edit it in LogonStudio. It will tell you it's made in an older version and it may not show properly. You gotta open up each image in your image software and put your own graphics over it. Name it the same as the original and overwrite the bitmap in the folder. I suggest you copy one of those logon folders in the skins folder in the LogonStudio folder and rename it to what you want to call it, and replace the images. It should work then. Side note <br
Sysmetrix isn't part of ObjectDesktop. It's a freeware app from Xymantix. You can get it here: http://www.xymantix.com Due to it's popularity it has it's own library here
As I recall, Cyrix by danilloOc has a workaround for that issue. Try and take a closer look at that in SkinStudio, I think it has something to do with tga's and transparency. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=1&SkinID=4309
Are you an OD subscriber? Then you can use IconDeveloper. [Ah, beat me to it Halluci ] [Message Edited]
Photoshop CS saves tga's as 32bit with the alpha channel. At least mine does? I was talking about the items. I was just messing around in SS, putting a new skin together. But the bar items or wouldn't show correctly whether it be tga or bmp,it just used the unskinned color instead, and that drove me nuts. I think I'll start over with a fresh template. I haven't had that problem before
Airlock uses tga's for the Pull Down Item and Bar Items. And does it without problems. I can't get it to work though. I think I'm with I.R. on this, gonna give it a rest.
System restore is off. I've never used that. All my data are on secondary disks. Like I said, I'll be reformatting when SP2 comes in Danish - problem solved (hopefully). I don't wanna spend anymore time on this, purhaps making it worse, but thanks a lot for the suggestions
Or they will upload the wallpaper to this site too, usually under the same name as the skin. All you gotta do is click WallPapers to the left and do a search
Happy Birthday
1) Looking for a dock for Windows, made me come here about a year ago - haven't left since. 2) Skinning have become one branch of various graphic design interests I have, I love it. So far so good... 3) When members are helpful on the boards, a new tight skin is released, the general spirit of the community, Brads small rantings and the admins (is my nose brown?) 4) When members are acting like idiots on the boards. Idiotic remarks on skins - constructive criticism is the keyword fol
SS is a really good piece of software, even though we sometimes curse at it when using it. Sure there are things I and we would love to be able to do in SS, but as Koasati says it's not SS's fault but limitations in the OS that makes it so. (If I understand correctly).
I don't think that's possible...remember to check the boards before asking https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WCH&id=298833#298885 https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WCS&id=284303#287662
