For Gods sake - keep the Rock out of any movie!
PixelPirate
Instead of PC it should perhaps read x86? Though some Unix and Linux distributions run on both x86 and PowerPC.
Are the attention effects untouched? (glow, rotate, bounce etc.).
A PC is better than a Mac. Hey that was quite easy to say
The OSX interface is made up by tif and pdf files. I think the Quartz technology brings it to live. Everybody "loans" ideas from everyone, it's always been like that - always will. I don't really care about that, it only makes our experiences better and it drives technology forward. I'm just sick of the way they market it. Those "Redmond" posters really make me dislike Apple.
Ok, changing the drive letter back to C: got the icons back. The issue with rebooting was caused by old Logitech iTouch drivers that caused an error in kbdclass.sys All fixed now. Looks like the old man's gotta live with the drive letters, or I'll have to reinstall everything. Case closed.
Oh and the icons in Explorer's treeview are missing in action...
You guys rock! Just what I needed - found the Outlook stuff. I'm also able to change the drive letters - to some point...I can't change the system disk's drive letter - so it's stuck with F: After I took a look at your suggestion yrag, the computer is behaving strangely. The only drive letter I changed was C: to G: but now the computer doesn't shut down automatically it just keeps rebooti
Here in DK the burgers at McD are smaller than those at BK, guess who likes whoppers?
Thanks Snowman, I'll give it a shot. Anybody on the drive letter?
Try Adobe Illustrator CS (11) it has some 3d capabilities, haven't personally explored them yet. I don't know where Macromedia's Freehand is these days. Why do you need it to be vector?
Of course it uses some ram but not much. My system says 1.656 KB... My point, you can't tell the difference. Alienware is going to pack their new configurations with WindowBlinds since their tests show greater performance with WindowBlinds installed...
/me thinks Konfabulator wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for DesktopX. All that DesktopX does and a lot less is what Konfabulator does. Desk Accessories or not.
They only call it that in France. I don't know what a Whopper is called. I didn't go to Burger King. (Pulp Fiction to those who don't know what the heck I'm talking about.) It doesn't need other color options, it needs a complete make over.
383 I think. Even though I have about 1.5 gb data on my drive from various sites. The icons alone are 800 mb! 2 mbps dsl is indeed handy for this kind of hobby
I just bought my dad a new harddrive cuz the old one wasn't behaving (IBM Deskstar - like a DC 10 guaranteed to go down). I installed XP Pro on it but the drive letter is F: and his 10 GB secondary harddrive is now C: (D: and E: are the CD drives). It works like it should but why has the letters changed? The jumpers and cables are set as they should. I want to change them so they are correct. I've seen this in an application sometime a while ago but can't remember which. Perhaps TweakXP
Or Unsanity: http://www.unsanity.com I have a question now we're at it. Mighty Mouse lets OSX users import CursorXP files from this site and use them, they even have a link to this site. Are they allowed to do that? Wasn't that sort of the same thing with StyleXP and IconPackager files?
My dad can beat your dad Discussion at Neowin: http://www.neowin.net/comments.php?id=21805&category=main#comment241960 Some pretty interesting views on the subject there.
Some people call it crap - some love it like it's the best thing MS ever offered (which I actually believe myself). I just don't like it enough to use it everyday Check the comments section over at Neowin: http://www.neowin.net/comments.php?id=21800&category=main#comment241955 I'll stick with WindowBlinds until Longhorn arrives. Then I'll use the default theme for a while and then I'll be u
Looks like the boys in Redmond have created a new theme for Windows. Perhaps it's going to be a part of SP2? Here's the link for screenshots and download. Looks like a glossy version of Luna and reminds me a lot of the new Media Player 10 look. http://www.flexbeta.net/main/modules.php?modid=8&action=show&id=122
Great you got it figured out. It's a real pain to be bothered with. In my quest for a possible solution I found the answer to a problem my father was having with Ad-Aware, also a folder that keeps popping up at startup.
How did you resolve it?
Maybe it's this string, remember to take a backup first Using Regedit, change the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENT VERSION\WINLOGON Change USERINIT from C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe to C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe,
Or try Run - MSINFO32, go to Software Environment and Startup Programs and see if theres anything there.
Try to hit Win+R and type sysedit and see if there's something going on in the 2 ini files... BE CAREFUL!
