Simple unless you live on a limited income and only have game money once or twice a year (which also has to get computer upgrades). I can where piracy is a concern with something like this, but I was not suggesting an unlimited feature. For example, I will use STARS!. I bought that game a number of years ago, and it also was set up on a serial number. The box included two full CD copies, each with their own number. Granted, I thought that a bad way to do it as it cuts sales in hal

Certainly. Using an accredited MOD should have a weighted value (re comments about balancing it). But if that is not possible, then leave the "rubber stamped" mods for player enjoyment only and place a disclaimer. Conversly, I an not using any mods, 1.05, and have no problem submitting my negative cash balance ending games to the metaverse either LOL
Unmodded 1.05. I thought asking if it was an AI only colonizqation event and calling it a free ship was detail enough. Sorry for the confustion. It happens when talking to a conjoined species LOL. Keep an eye out for it. I suspect it happens a lot more often than ppl notice.
I was thinking something similar Pontius. I don't think any modded-up game should be submitted to (let alone accepted by) the metaverse. ANY modding, gives an unfair advantage to the user, even if it is a balanced MOD. The amount of the cash it may give, or the PQ, or even anomaly edits slant the game. There is a lot of talk about making the Metaverse better, this would be a good place to start. Level the playing field. SD is doing that by weighting the scores between 1.05 and 1.09, that's

I read that SD can send you your CD key to the email you registered the game with originally (if your using 1.04, then you have done that).
That is not the case Pontius. The AI (minor civ) moves his colony ship to a star system that has not been claimed by anyone. It colonized one of the planets in that system, and instantly got another colony ship (the same turn it colonized the planet in). It looked like he got the colony without having to expende the colony ship. The new colony ship did have a different number. So it got a free ship. And when ppl get tired of getting booted from this one, they can come be part of the Viraxian Ascension. ;) I would suggest that you send an email to the person you might bump from the empire before doing so. Let them know selling girl scout cookies will not be tolerated, with perhaps a time frame to get back evil. Good luck with your new empire.
Shameless post to try and bump this to a second page. LOL
Later on you and your wife can submit two different game into one couslee account.
That is exactly what I do not want. Likewise Berserk, you could join the Viraxian Ascension. :D http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=499
It was a dark day indeed for the human expansion. Having devoted it's resources to building constructors for the abundant mining oppertunities, it was not in a position to defend itself against the onslaught. The force had expended it's materials to the point everyone was on emergency rations already (-486bc). Thanks to the UP, the newly designed constructors could travel an impressive 9 areas per cycle. The fleet of constructors and all available warships were halfway across the tin
Sure. right click on the browser button on the task bar for the fraggin pop-under add, select close. (just ribbin ya)
What options, other than having to buy a second computer and game copy (not gonna happen), would I have if I got my wife interested in GC? She would want her own ID and metaverse account (maybe her own empire). Since all things are linked to the single serial number, how can this be achieved? Unless SD wants to give us a wedding gift (see option A). LOL
Well it don't explain the blatent cheat I saw earlier. To me, it really is not that big a deal. But I saw a minro race colony ship colonize a system, and immediatly have another colony ship in orbit in that system. A free one, like it got it from a colonizing event. (no other planets colonized in that system). I checked it out via reload testing, and it happened about 75% of the time. It certainly was unexpected. It was a maso game, but it should not matter how much a production bonus the
Oh, now that is sad. Didn't even get a :VOMIT: to the story line. Caught the AI cheating in my current game. I wanna get a free colony ship too when I nab a system. Is this a colonization event only the computer gets? [Message Edited]
It says something about human nature. Generally calm people might get a bit rebellious when under the scrunity of moderators.
by Citizen Evil Steve - 8/20/2003
Nice balance of cultural and military victories. You would make a good cultural advisor in the Viraxian Ascension. Might even find a nice symbiont for you. :D
I can appreciate your POV. But I don't think a medal of honor for donating at least something would be elitist, any more than the other medal currently used. I don't see any commodore only clubs or lieutenants have to ride in the back of the bus signs. ;) Besides, and I know this might piss off some ppl, but if your enjoying the metaverse, and feel guilty because you know you could afford to chip in a bit, TFB. If you can't, then of course that don't apply to you. I
Whew........ so, that's thing. Be it good, bad or ugly. I hope some can take the theme and run with it. Got my two games in. One pure evil-0, One saintly-100. I think my brain is yogurt now. :)
After General couslee launched the Hero, he moved the craft a fair distance from Mars. He managed the get the human to try and sleep. It took a while as this human had a liking for computer games. Once the host fell asleep, couslee proceeded. Jolting from his sleep, couslee hears the proximity alarm going off. He rushes to the small window and is horrified to see a large fleet of space craft approaching that appear to be warships. "They must have been hiding in the asteroid belt" h
General couslee sits in his ship and ponders the past several years. It had seemed like only yesterday he had landed on that shining new planet. Over the centuries, moving from host to host, he had lost contact with all the other Viraxians. And now that the Humans had invented a way to escape their orbit and travel towards the stars, he hoped he would be able to find the others. He knew that in order to complete his secert mission, he had to attempt a full Ascension with this host.
The Arrival
The ship emerges in a system that is nowhere on their star charts. couslee realizes the dilemma they are in, and orders an immediate scan of the planets in the system. "What does the sensor reading show?" He asks the android as he turns his attention to the data screen. He reads that there is but one possible habitable planet in this system. Knowing this lucky break is their only hope of survival, he orders the ship to enter into a stationary orbit
