In my last game, I saw one of the AIs building up a major attack SB, I thought he might be prepping one for a terror star. It actually had a number of these SB built in my sectors (no influence upgrades though). I managed to destroy every one of them in a single turn. All it took was 1 corvette, the Hero and 3 maxed trasports.
Don't want to hijack couslee's thread further.
Yeah, it's much better to let it sink into second page death. LOL Still waiting to hear about the methods used to get max BC from the tech trade. Like wanting 500BC for 50mos when offering 5 early techs is obviously not going to work. Wish they would put in AI counter offers, or tech/BC value indicators. I played a game one time, don't remember the name, that had a unique system. As you added or
Hello, Mister President! I hope you enjoy this game.
LOL The president submitted a bill to congress for Star Base funding. The doves decided it would be more PC to call it the ISS instead, and approved it following the title change.
Reversed idea for good, bump morality up slowly, but pay a little bit each turn.
And this is my pet peeve. Why does being good have to be viewed as costly? Good is minus this, or minus that. >:( imo, should be something along the lines of Evil choice +PQ, +production(slaves), ect.. Good choice +morality, +economy (tithes/offerings), ect.. And balance the damn things out. When you choice is +40 production with a -10 on alignment VS +nothing

I understand that, but what I was asking, was why wouldn't you be able to re-load the last turn on the "viraxian" game and resubmit it under the correct name. (Considering there is not a change in the SN linked to either nic, it would not be flagged as someone trying to submit another person's games). Another thing I don't see mentioned, and some other new players mught be curious, the name you use in the game itself does not have to match the name it is submitted under. In all my gam

"Progressive Party": 50% reduction to interstellar ship insurance costs. With additional discounts for multiple ships and SBs. LOL Hmmmm....... Now there is a feature no one has seen in a TBS. Optional unit insurance. Expensive, but if your BB gets destroyed you can get it replaced for a deductible cost. ;)
You can't resubmit a game under a different player name. It's permanent unless you get divine intervention from SD.
Huh? I have not had any problems submitting games. Why couldn't you resubmit a game under a different nic? I save my game when I know it is at an end (not relying on the "endgamesave"). I finish the turn, get all the whoopla screens, and the metaverse submission box. The nic I use in game is not the nic my metascores are tracked under. Why wouldn't you

I saw the same thing with a colony ship of the AI, and IMO it's BS. I had a scout ship in a sector controlled by one of the monros. I watched it colonize a fresh system (no other planets colonized) I the instant it colonized the system, it had a brand new colony ship in that same system. I reloaded the game several times to see if it was just a fluke, and it happened about 75% of the time. This was on normal level, so AI level bonuses should not apply. Even if they did, it
I recall it took me quite a number of games to realise that switching social projects does not mean that your previous investment was wasted.
That was one of the first things I checked out when I noticed the miliraty queue rollover. Actually, it's backwards IMO. If you start construction on a building, it don't matter. The purpose can be changed with a pen stroke. But if your halfway done with a battleaxe, saying "hey, lets switch this to a colony ship" is a

I find it amazing how they seem to tuck tail an shut the hell up when their flag ship gets destroyed early. A 1/3 survey ship is a nasty focker when it comes across the 0/1 or 1/1 "Hero"s of the other empires. I pick the fight as soon as I meet them, and by the time they have enough tech to try anything, I am far ahead of them, in all stats. Partly becacause I certainly get the lion's share of the anomolies. Try going beserk right from the git. Lot of fun, even if the AI manages to make a c

have not tried any of that yet. I am at the point in my game that there are not any wormholes left, so further testing for me will have to wait. Some of the thoughts that still need to be addressed are yours, and a another, namely: 1> Will it work with other units fleeted with a survey ship? I don't see why not, I doubt there is coding in place to allow it with one alt ship and not others. I want to try sending a massive fleet through one. Will check that out my next game.
Totally agree. We don't know how much extra work/money is involved for the good folks at stardock to do this, though.
Enter my idea for a "donate to the metaverse" link. :big toothless grandpa grin: (j/k, I still have all my choppers)
