hehe, interesting example playlist you came up with there btw In your first example above, let's say you click on Pink Floyd (and why wouldn't you as it's a great song?) and it was the first song in the playlist. Would then selected-1 and selected-2 become empty strings? Maybe there could be another object state, "undefined", in which we could place a string of our choosing such a

I am not sure I fully understand what you mean about the "Current Playlist Object +/- 0/1/2/3 . . ." text objects. Is the "current playlist object" seperate from the "currently playing object"? I agree tho that componentized method of playlist depiction would offer the greatest degree of flexibility in overal design. If it's possible I would go with click to select and double click to play - it would facilitate editing the playlist order and d
I like the new "internal" use of WMP - but the only problem there is the lack of a playlist editor. I noticed that it does create it's own playlist, so I guess we could create our own proprietary editor's - but it would be very cool if it was integrated into the plug-in somehow (don't even know if that is possible). Having said that, this is a great step forward for this plug-in and after dilly-dallying around with scripting for the wmp active
Email Dave - the icons are not part of the set, although they are ones I have created. I hope to complete the set one day and upload them in an icon package. They are actually K-TEK icons. Cal - the substyle changer is activated by pressing the 2nd button from the left on any window's titlebar. If you do not have skinstudio installed you may get an error message concerning a missing fi
Have you tried it downloading it using a different browser? I just did a test download using Firefox and it seemed to work ok.
( In paint shop)It seems like when it's done that way, everytime it's rotated it gets a little bit blurrier. If you do it in paint shop make sure each roatation starts off from the original image. What I mean is, dont copy a layer, rotate it, then copy the new layer and rotate it again etc. Each time th
a veritable plethora ...much like any other day in that regard
well, the big day is finally here - I am seriously considering having 2 cups of tea simultaneously to celebrate
Fantastic article - very helpful and informative. As a self-taught dx scripter I have heaps of bad habits born out of ignorance, but articles like this go a long way to helping me understand some of the less obvious aspects of programming. Thanks alot for taking the time and trouble to share your expertise
thanks all, as you can see me and the pooch are having a great time
grown up? no danger of that I'm afraid... my entire family has somehow, mysteriously, managed to be abroad this year so it looks as tho it's just me and the faithfull hound...and you lot of course cheers all, hope you have a great day also

Same problem here
I love the new dx beta. The UI is much better I agree, but it's the new widget properties features that I think are going to make widgets much more appealing to alot of people. The ability to colour any widget, change its opacity, z-order, whether it has a systray icon or taskbar button or neither, and customisable shadows all make widgets potentially suit more desktops and more people's preferences. However there are some problems, but perhap
upload it as a widget - people can always import it into dx as an object if they wish
*sniff sob*
if I might just be allowed to mention one small thing....the smilie that is the winking guy with the tongue poking out...looks utterly wasted ---->
the lizard is a chameleon gef - something to do with changing colours and whatnot...skinning...etc...geddit?

as a last resort you can always press the windows key on your keyboard to bring up the start menu
I would get a similar error message when I replaced a 32bit bmp with a 24bit one, or vice versa, without making the relevant changes in the configuration file. (A 32bit bmp has an alpha channel defining transparency)
Don't take it to heart Cliff. The sad truth is that in any given population a certain percentage will be "socially inept" and given that wincustomize has a rapidly growing membership (1.7 million members...and counting...) to draw upon I'm afraid the chances of getting a rude comment get ever higher. It is upsetting from time to time but the overwhelming mass of comments are generally encouraging and friendly and the nasty comments have to be taken in
awww, I thought it was addictificacious...
yep, that's gonna encourage the flow of friendly advice... @Koasati - by Grubthar's Hammer I will avenge you!
