Oh, and on the ship design front, maybe things like troop carrying ability, cargo holds, anomolie exploration ability, extra sensor range, cloaking and other special ship abilities should be includable into any ship for a sacrifice of space that could otherwise have been used for weapons, defence or engine. Also, how about the ability to build a special kind of pirate vessel. One where, if it wins the combat, instead of destroying the enemyship, it can board it with troops. If the def

I think you should also be able to obtain information about AI map data through espionage. But the main thing that really bugs me about GalCiv warfare at the moment is that the only way to take a star system by force at the moment is complete genocide. The entire population are treated as soldiers! I would like to be able to take over a planet and enslave its workforce. Sure there will be civilian casualties in any war, so depending on the invasion method, a certain percentage would

I'm also in the middle of transferring my domain name to a php host from an asp host, so I'm a little new to php stuff. Didn't realise that .htaccess files are a security risk, I've got them all over the place on my own site...

I have only done this a couple of times, and its usually because I need to increase my range on larger maps to reach some PQ15 planets before the AIs are able to. I realise a star base would also increase range, but early in the game I am full out on colony ship production, and constructors are that much more expensive that its cheaper and easier to use a handy PQ14 planet if there is one. Even rush buying a soil improvement. The first time I did this I got lucky and had one of those +35% PQ

Fundamentalists? :SURPRISED: Yuck! The natural enemies of hedonists everywhere! ;) Luckilly I have never allowed moral to stay that low and have never witnessed this horrible sounding event :HOT:

At last I can see it. As I suspected there are some bugs in my code I have to sort out. Looks like its not finding the style sheet, and the 404 Notfound page isn't displaying. The server is Apache, but are '.htaccess' files enabled? I may have just uploaded it wrong...

Thats not what it stands for here. Also, it has nothing to do with United Planets, which is what UP stands for normally in the GalCiv game... ;)

And for all those of a non-christian bent, I would like to wish you a very Merry Saturnalia and Yule, and may the decadence of Dionysus and the strength of Mithras be with you on the birthday they share with the Galilean. :HOT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:

The first one is redundant now, but quite a few months ago I had a problem with my main email address and posted to the forum asking how to change it. I was advised to use the 'contact@' button at the bottom left of the forum. The problem I had with that email address has since been fixed, so I no longer need to change it. I never received a reply to that query however. My second query was to sales, who have now got back to me. I was finding out about upgrading to Drengin.ne

Still, I like to keep mine protected, just incase a war does break out, or some nasty space shark appears right where the party stars are, or pirates. Well, I guess I just like to play it safe... :HOT:
I kinda like the terrorstar/party palace myself.
This is my fovourite tactic also. I often build a fleet of three PartyPalace TerrorStars all maxed out on defence, culture and military bonuses and march them around the galaxy flipping everything in their path, starting with the biggest threats. On larger maps I usually have time to research Beyond Human by the time they're done... ;) Seriously though, if you like PartyPalace TerrorStars, check out PanGaea's b

We look forward to your return Eradicus. You are currently PanGaea's greatest Overlord and a respected member of our senate. You held the fort here admirably during my prolonged absense, and your troops are no doubt having a well earned rest throughout the Cooperatives pleasure worlds and Party Palaces... :HOT:

I hear so many reports of how wonderful Stardock's support are I am beginning to wonder if maybe they don't like me or something. (:( Every query I ever emailed them has been totally ignored. :(
