Hunter Gatherer society. Cooperation with wolves which lead to domestication. Science has shown that all modern domestic dogs have descended from at least 5 seperate successful domestications of wolves. For hundreds of thousands of years humanity lived in this way. Even at the dawn of the space age, some parts of the world were inhabited by hunter gather societies. Serpent images, hermaphrodites, fertility, shapeshifting, and halucinogen/entheogen use recur in such societies a

Anyway, what you have to do now, is go to your blog, which should now have an option to 'Feature' your article. Select this, and select 'pangaea' from the drop down list. Its probably the only option unless you've managed to get added to any other Blog Groups! ;) I think it should then appear on the pangaea site. In future, you can choose whether or not to 'feature' any article you write on your blog. If you do, it will appear on the PanGaea blog group, otherwise it will o

Thanks Dark-Star, So what you are saying is that once I've set up a blog group, I can no longer invite others to join it, they have to apply by going through the procedure you mentioned above? Also, would the phrase make more sense if it read "Join this Blog Group" instead of 'my'? How can it be 'my' if I hadn't joined it yet?

Okay, the request arrived. For some reason even though it says it was sent yesterday at 22:38, it hadn't arrived yet by this mornings email download! Also, it is annoyingly in html, which is a pain because I have a non-html email program (deliberately, because usually only spam and virus' use html capability). It would be nice if there was a total web based way of managing the blogs on the joeuser site itself. Oh well, I've approved you now anyway... :HOT:

Okay, I've looked all over the PanGaea blog group, and all over Kevin the Kittens website, and I can't work out how to invite Kevin to the PanGaea Blog Group. Which is funny because I did have that option when I first created the group. Maybe its something that can only be done when a group is first set up? The question is does anyone know if Kevin is meant to apply to become a member of the PanGaea blog group, or do I have to invite him? And either way, how do we do it?

Hmm, I did find the page earlier, but I can't now. I really have to get to bed, I will try and invite you tomorrow. I thought there should be a way for you to apply for membership also. It said something about me getting an email notification when someone requested membership. :notsure:

Very little is known about Anton Channing, and of that information that is available in the public domain, some is highly dubious, some is unverifyable and the rest does give much away. Most intriguing is that in the early 21st century there does exist another Anton Channing, a Hermetic Alchemist of some repute, who allied himself with Discordianism, Chaos Magic and several Illuminati organisations. He was known for being a fun loving hedonist, an anarchist but nonetheless intellectual

Okay, I've created the PanGaea Cooperative blog... http://pangaea.joeuser.com ...when Eradicus and Kevin have time they should create their own blogs and request to have them added the pangaea blog group. It is my hope that we can use the blog group to more effectively develop our characters and storyline than the current static empire page that I host on kiamagic.com. What do people think?

Thanks for that. I had actually worked it out by the time I read your reply, but it was insightful in anycase... ;)

Hmmm, I created this PanGaea blog group with the intention of grouping together the blogs of the various PanGaea Cooperative members. So far I added myself, but the two posts on my blog haven't showed up here... I thought they would for some reason... Oh well...

Oh and I've started one of them 'JoeUser' blogs... http://anton.joeuser.com/index.asp ...If we all do one we can create a PanGaea Cooperative group that we can use as the new Empire page. It will be a good way for us to post our characters and storylines and keep them in one place.

Interesting. I was probably going to download latest patch anyway. Not sure how many games I will be submitting over the next few months because I will be moving house and changing jobs, and in fact relocating to a whole different city sometime in 2004. Probably. But I intend to play at least one game a month. I burned myself out on this game when I first got it, needed a break from it, took one, and now I'm back I'm going to take it a bit more steady... ...After all, I n

I am intending that this blog will replace the old PanGaea website, but I will leave the old website up for historic value...

Eventually I will begin to populate this blog with the secret outer doctrine of the PanGaea Cooperative. Illuminating and interesting as this will be, it is as well that you are warned that what this means is that the secrets imparted are only those which are considered okay to pass on to prospective new initiates, and as such, there will be some misinformation contained within them. This is standard secret society practise of course, I'm sure you understand. And if you don't, well, then you

Anton is just returning from some long business trips, making contacts for all sorts of purposes, visiting family, a couple spells in sickbay, and is half expecting to find his empire in a state of collapse. But he shouldn't have underestimated his generals! They are doing a fine job! Finer than Anton himself... Hmmm, thats a point he thinks to himself, he better get to work himself and take over another galaxy, just to prove he still can... ...A large cultural conquest with

As for government types. I have recently been playing Federalists with extra economy bonuses. You know, eradicus, I too usually build a lot of survey ships, but I didn't in my 'good' game that I lost. I wonder if missing out on the bonuses the extra survey ships usually got me lead to my downfall on that one? I'll definitely have to bear this one in mind. Oh, and later in the game, when you have the tech to build more advanced survey ships, there never seems to be much left to surv

Hey thanks MM77! We'll have to put that song on our empire page! This time of year is always real busy for me, one of my secret societies always has a meeting around halloween, I've just passed my girlfriends birthday, and this year things have been worse than most... I plan to be back in action this week, although I'll be away this weekend. I really appreciate the work Eradicus has done to keep this empire alive.

Well, I wouldn't normally play out a game in which I was losing that badly, partly because of the score, and partly because I don't enjoy playing out being that helpless. The reason I submitted it this time is because I had no other scores in my third month block, and am unlikely to submit any other scores until my forth month block (which is about a week away or less). Normally, if you are submitting several game per month, then not submiting losses is a good idea. In this one case however,
