Hmm, so far it has only happened on the PanGaea thread though, this new message posted fine...

When I post messages to the Metaverse this morning, I get the following error...
Persits.MailSender.4 error '800a0004' Connection timed out. /action.asp, line 414
...however, the message has still posted successfully.
Hmm, looks like the same thing is happening to bakka!
I'm still getting an error posting messages though. It seems to be when the page refreshes after the message is posted. I see an asp error concerning a connection timing out in action.asp . Bad error trapping, there should be a more friendly error page for the public, only the programmers should see that kind of debugging information. Of course, asp uses vbscript mostly, and that is an aweful language to do error trapping in. I know, I had to program that stuff myself unti
Oh, it did post my messages after all! Oops!
Hmm, I seem to be getting errors when I try to post a message. I did have a longer reply but I haven't got time to re-type it...
Yeah! Thats the spirit! Lets climb out of the drop zone before we end up back on the second page. I've got two games on the go, including my first being played at 'challenging'. I haven't got the expansion yet. I kinda heard that they've started charging maintenance on starbases and constructors. But at the same time, I'm going to have to make the move at some point... ...I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet on the maintenance thing.

Ah well, we'll just have to wait 5 whole days before your next report then. That'll be next tuesday, 23rd Sept. Or am I being too pedantic now? ;) Unfortuately I may not have much time to play this weekend, although I will be having fun entertaining my daughter. Never mind. I guess it just means that my next score submission will be in my second month block. (Good grief, have I been playing this game for a month already? Where has all the time gone!) :SURPRISED:
And don't forget that PanGaea is the empire of pure unadulturated Hedonism... ;) ;p :HOT:
Oh dear, I post on a thread an it dies instantly. I could get paranoid about this if I wasn't so naturally happy and relaxed! :HOT:
Eradicus, That was a good score to end your first month block on. Your first score of your second month block should see us jump past both The United Benzoians and Fish First with any luck... ...Then we have to take on that Discordian Illuminati group known as 'Fnord'. For further infomation on the meaning of Fnord and/or Discordianism, it is advisable to consult the Discordian Holy book known as the 'Principia Discordia' which can be found here... http://www
Well, I've posted a new recruitment add on the thread, this time with links to the relevent pages included... ...it was a bit of a cheesy add, but that works sometimes! LOL Bwah ha ha ha ha ha!
Pleasure... [Scenes from outside the brothels of the PanGaea PartyPalace TerrorStar, with erotic sensual music in the background. Human, Altarian, Android and other race pleasure slaves are shown.] Fun... [Scenes from a Dionysian rave party aboard the same star base. Skantilly clad ravers dance to load tribal rhythms.] Decadence... [Scenes of clients partaking of the star bases halucinogen smoking rooms, equiped with black light posters, holograms,
Just noticed also, according to Bakka's weekly intelligence report, their are seven 'dead' or 'sinking' empires above us in the top 25. Shouldn't be long before we are able to take them on, even by ourselves... :HOT:
Yes noticed that. He joined them a while ago. Although he has a good score and it would be have been cool to have him on our side, I had a feeling it wouldn't happen. Anyway, my first month block is nearly over, (assuming its a month from my first score submission) so I should be able to increase my score significantly (and thus our score) next time round...
Ah ha! Didn't notice these had their own thread. I'd been reading the Evil Empire thread for them. Think I'll add them to my 'watch' list... ...thanks Bakka!
Maybe we should send out some brochures, or party flyers or something. Thats a lot of empireless players. Of course, they might be people that like the game but have no interest in empire related matters... ...personally I like the sense of community and chance to build a story. :HOT:
You can call us losers if you want, but we've hardly been around for much more than a week and we're already top 25. And we will continue to climb, mark my words! Bwah ha ha ha ha! :HOT:
Wow. That sounds quite handy... ;)
ctrl-n? What does that do?
Actually, it may not be a bug. There might be a reason you want to keep that civ alive a while longer. Especially if it was a common enemy that was destroying them. It might in such an instance be worth giving them a minor planet somewhere and the capability to defend it. Not something you'd want to do in most cases, but the possibility is there. And the bug about getting money out of a dead civ over a number of turns works both ways. I once payed a civ over a large number of turns
Anton relaxed in his chamber, and plugged in the VR Modules. These were linked up to an android replica he would be using to meet with Eradicus. The man seemed loyal enough, but there was no point in taking chances. They would never really meet face to face. The android was also made to look very different to himself, so that he would never be recognised. He used it for all important meetings, with the press, with politicians, warlords, and foreign diplomats. He was taking no chances. <br
Oh, and I loved that black hole xray thing so much, I made it my desktop background! Thanks for that!
