Evil Steve, we'd be more than happy to have an ANZAC franchise on our boat, bar, shop and office space on the Terrorstar are let at very competative prices, however all profits are taxed at the current PGC rate. This is relatively low at the moment to keep our citizens moral up and prevent ILeague rebelions...

I'm not familiar with Warzone 2100. Yes its true that the PanGaea Cooperative is intended to be actively multi-alignment, however, this does not mean that members will be limited to only developing the side of PGC that corresponds to their own overall morallity. At some point I'm going to do some sketches of various goings on in the Terrorstar Party Palace...

I was wondering about that. I think they are thick enough on the main empire home page, but maybe I could make a special 32x32 version for the metaverse. I think we can do business with such fine pirates as yourselves. Our main party palace is located on our Terrorstar. It is the party of the galaxy, the only party where partygoers can watch live the destruction of useless star systems with no inhabitable planets... :CONGRAT: As for payment, I'll clear it with the Terrorsta

Hmm, I haven't really been timing myself, and I still haven't played that many games yet. Many of my games on larger maps (which is where I have the most fun) take all day to complete. I usually waste one day of my weekend doing that, or a couple evenings during the week plus part of a weekend day. We're a bit busy at work at the moment so I'm working extra hours than normal. Makes a difference...

Senator Anton relaxes in the hospital wing of his secret PanGaea HQ, Earth. There he his wound is attended by Altarian nurses who joined the PanGaea cause after frequent visits to the Terrorstar Party Palace that did a tour through their sector of the galaxy. Even wounded the secret leader of the PanGaea Cooperative knew how to enjoy life. Now point wasting time cursing the assassin or the toothpick that put him here. He'd be back in action soon enough. Right now he was looking forw

This kind of information is very useful to the PanGaea Cooperative, whose objective is to win the galaxy's favour through the building of Party Palaces and Satalite Water Parks... ...not that I'm trying to recruit anyone or anything. We only want people that want to party with us. :HOT:

It may have been unfair of me to compare all rts to 'snap'. I have enjoyed these games myself from time to time, but on the whole I find the inability to freeze time and give out complex orders too frustrating, which is why I prefer to play turn based games. I don't find snap easy. Thats the point. I always lost at snap because I just couldn't get into its 'snatch em quick' mentality. It seems too rough...

"Ah, the promise of equality by abolishing the established order, whether it takes an economic, governmental, and/or religious face." But thats the secret, we haven't abolished an established order, merely subverted it. Rather than abolishing capitalism, government and religious authority, we turn them in to yet more play things to fill our lives with pleasure! And who mentioned anything about equality? (Okay, maybe some of the more feminist links on the page did, but I don't have to

Welcome to the party Ambassador! You are doing a fine job for the cooperative. With your permission I would like to log your story on our home site at some point. If you are interested there could be a place for you on the senate. However there is a matter of secret initiation. It makes sure entry into the inner circle more special. I won't post about it here, because if I did it wouldn't be secret. Instead you will have to email me at mailto:[email protected] but only if you are

Those of us in Europe who have got copies of the game have purchased and downloaded it over the web. You need at least an adsl connection and even this takes 3 1/2 hours, but you can also get the cdrom shipped from the usa direct, but by the time it gets across the atlantic and delivered to you it will be the 12th anyway...

Oh, and you've hit the nail on the head concerning rts. I dislike it for the same reason I dislike 'snap' and other card games of that ilk... ...the difference between rts and tbs is like the difference between snap and chess...

Thats what I thought. Thanks for wishing me luck. If I can get in the top 25 on my own then maybe it will attract enough attention to get other members. But I'm not going to lower myself to proselytising, begging or poaching. If someone wants to join great, otherwise I know how to have fun by myself... ;)

I like Terror Stars, but I don't use them to blow up star systems. I just load them up with Party Palaces and Satalite Water Parks and march across the Galaxy, slowly converting everyone over to my empire... :HOT:

Does anyone here remember a really old game called 'Imperium' which was released for the Atari ST in 1990. This had a 3D galaxy that was really quite large. It was also quite easy to navigate around. I think it was also released for the amiga. It was one of my favourite games at the time, right up there with Sim City. (Okay, I'm showing my age, I don't care, I already posted it on another thread and was told 29-31 is average around here...) It also had basic ship design (nothing com

Thanks. It'll be fun anyway even if its just me. I'm already ranked 47. I don't know how active most of the top 50 are, but I'm confident I can climb higher than that just on my own... :HOT:

For Hedonists of all alignments... :D What are we about? For a detailed descrition, check our empire page, but to cut a long story short we are about Party Palaces and Satelite Water Parks rather than big war fleets. :HOT: So let the celebration begin! :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: To join the ultimate party visit... http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=506

I agree, I'm not really a fan of RTS or FPS either. I don't mind RT in an rpg, so long as combat is done TB, or you have the option of going TB for combat. But in a stategy game I find rt frustrating because I'm trying to coordinate my forces on various different ends of the map, and respond to situations occuring all over and I have the forces but your cursor can only be one place at a time real time... Just had my birthday, August 29, so I'm 29 now, seems like I must be the average

From my limited experience, I'd say that influence has nothing to do with I-League rebelions, which are what happens when any star system is left for too long with an unhappy face next to it (indicating it is in a state of rebelion). A star system falling under influence of a rival empire shows a different symbol. (A skull and cross bones I think...) I think it may well be weighted by population, so if the unhappy planet has a higher pop than the two okay planets (usually the
