Don't get me wrong, I'm kind of fond of the Evil Empire. But I'm not going to join it...;p ...in fact I've gone ahead and formed the PanGaea Cooperative. For now I'm going to keep quiet about this new empire until I've got its website up with a history of what its about. :HOT: In Chaos. :HOT:

Beserk, it is interesting what you say. I too was born in 1974, although in the UK. I have never been to South Korea or the USA, but I did study Tae Kwon Do up to first dan level, which is a South Korean martial art. For a living I work as computer programmer. This is the first time I've ever been involved with a 'clan' or empire of any kind in any game. I only joined it because I'm fascinated with secret society type stuff and thought I was likely to find others with similar intere

Actually I did have one idea that was not directly illuminati. It was an idea called the PanGaea Cooperative. It basically possits a future of the earth where rational athiests and some off shoot of the neo-pagan new age movement unites the world under the banner of PanGaea. In one sense PanGaea means All World. Scientifically it is a reference to the Gaea Hypothesis, only this time including the male as part of nature. Mystically it is the union of the god of nature, Pan, in union with the

Whilst I agree that calling the new Empire "The Illuminati" would be both confusing and uninspired, I would like to keep the Illuminati story I was planning to build on. The trick now would be to agree on a new name that we both like, that probably includes 'illuminati' in the name. We could even include this empire and Treylis absense in the storyline, explaining how we rebelled and formed a new illuminiti faction. Let me suggest a few acronyms... Kaos Illuminati Star Society (or

Beserk, We are now only five. Nand1 has defected to the Evil Empire and we are now no longer in the top ten. We have a leader who hasn't played for nearly a month, and an empire home page that doesn't mention our group, give us a story or anything. We could stay here and try and make it work, but we'd be the only two active players. Or we could go form another illuminati as Theoden suggests, create a cool empire home page (I have free space on my own website I wouldn't mind

Hmm, the all seeing eye at the top of the pyramid. Commonly thought to be an illuminati symbol, and popularised as such by the Discordians (in the Principia Discordia), Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea (in the novels of the Illuminatus! trilogy) and Steve Jackson Games (in their company logo, and also their Illuminati card game of conspiracy). The fact is though, their isn't, to my knowledge, any hard evidence linking the symbol to the Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria or Adam We

Well, I have him on my ICQ contact list, but so far whenever I've checked he has been listed as an offline contact. I presume he is still using the ICQ address listed on his website link from the illuminati empire page.

The illuminati is a group who origins are shrouded in mystery. In 18th Century Bavaria, an occultist/mystic by then name of Adam Weishaupt found a secret society called 'The Ancient and Illuminated Seers of Bavaria'. The objective of this organisation was to replace the monotheistic monarchies of Europe with secular democratic governments. This was to be the first stage in a secret agenda of individualism and anti-authoritarianism. The King of Germany however discovered the sect afte

Hey! Beserk, you've nearly caught up with our invisible leader! I think we are at a distinct disadvantage due to lack of players in our empire. The other teams in the top ten have a minimum of 28 players, we have 6. Our main rival below us has 14...

Well I just finished the small game, which is my first game submission not as an evil military conquest. I won through an alliance victory with chaotic good alignment. Also slightly upping the difficulty level each game. Score not as good as on a large map, but every little helps as they say!

Beserk74 said something about Frogboy or Calielf fixing it? Are they the 'Divine Intervention from SD'? As for the suicidal game. I notice it was submitted on the 23rd. 23 is a very 'important' number to the illuminati. There may have been some intervention from Eris... ;)

I'm currently playing two games, one on a gigantic map, which will probably take a while, and a quicker one on a small map, which I hope to get done soon. Its just my birthday this weekend which means my social life is interfering with my gaming? ;p

That game should have been a cakewalk. I didn't even know it was submitted successfully. I must have made the same mistake as I made on my third game. I have regestired my player name and apparently now have my first and third games, with my second game now missing due to it being on a different player name. My first game also seems to have the wrong difficulty level. I didn't notice at first because the score is more or less the same as my second game, which is the first one I thought subm

No I don't use Macs, mostly I use Mozilla on Windows XP. But I also tried it with IE. Oh, and I also tried Mozilla on Linux. But I really don't see how it would make any difference, there is no mention of any hover text in the html or javascript when I look at the source of the page...

184 Replies 3,523 Views

No seriously it doesn't do it for me! I've even looked in the source code, and the image tags have no 'alt' or 'title' attributes or any 'onmouseover' events that would trigger such a reaction. Nor is there any text in the source code that isn't already displayed on the screen.

Beserk74 said "Well, if you move your curser to medals and ranks it will say something like commodore, top25, 5 game winner, 20 game winner, etc." Strange. Doesn't do that for me. I've tried with Mozilla and IE...

I thought you could only have one player name per serial number, so that if I linked my serial number to AntonChanning, I lose the game I linked to "Anton Channing"? In essense what I am saying is that the game should at warn you. A message like "This player name is not yet registered, are you sure you still want to submit y/n?" would be fine. That way those who really did intend a new player name can still do so...

17 Replies 209 Views

Okay, I think I've confused myself now. My player name is "Anton Channing" but my nick is "AntonChanning". I accidentally submitted my last game as my nick (duh!) and it was accepted. Of course it doesn't show up on my score. And now I can't resubmit with my correct name. One question though. Why is the metaverse programmed to accept scores from a player-email combination that doesn't exist? Surely it should at least give a warning in such a scenario, give you a chance to correct

Another reason I joined illuminatus is because it suits my gaming style. I tend to try and win by influence at the moment, don't bother with warships much. In my current game I am a pure evil (morality 0 demonic) pacifist party. I haven't fought a single battle, but already star systems are turning round to my way of thinking... ;) Bwah ha ha ha ha ha! :HOT:

184 Replies 3,523 Views

Not so much secret times as entirely random unpredictable times. As one illuminatus once put it... "Always tell the truth. Just lead a life so implausable it will never be believed..." :HOT:

184 Replies 3,523 Views

Okay. I'm new here, so there a still a few things I don't understand. I'm looking at the legend and notice that I have been promoted to Lietenant. The medals and overall morallity legends are self explanatory. How do the ranks work? Maybe I should have started a new thread for this...
