At the end. Is there a chance that this reporting can be bit more organized? I tried to find ‘Bug reports go here’ thread but after some time I gave up. It's stickied, look at the top of the thread list.

Automated drones? Hmmm...it sounds suspiciously like the Star Trek episode "Doomsday Device" I DID say it wasn't an original idea! Actually I was thinking more of the Voyager episide "Dreadnought" with the intelligent Cardassian super-missile. Star Trek ain't too original

Argh that question is back! Its been gone over a few times but CeZeus has hit the answer in a nut shell. Stardock want Galciv to be about ruling a civilisation as 'emperor', it's not about being the admiral. That's the design decision and the ultrimate answer. There are some other supporting reasons, perhaps the main one being about AI. Moo2 is the big comparison ofc. In Moo2 you could design your own ships

Well there's a different spin you can put on the space monster mechanic, rebrand them as ancient Precursor weapon systems roaming the galaxy long after their creators are no more. Automated drones acting out some long forgotten command to defend the Precursor empire and so on. It might not be all that original but you can side step the 70's latex monster image. Or have both.

I'm getting some corruption on the main screen, I was actually getting it in last build too. The main buttons running along the bottom (domestic, research, shipyard, diplomacy atc) are messed up. The icons are sort of shrunk with bars occupying the larger area they should take up. Cari nailed this one for me, it was down to a video driver probl

That's one of the classic Civ series win conditions. You build the planets first interstellar colony ship (module by module) and launch it when you think it will A) survive the trip and B) get there first. The first Civ to get a ship to Alpha Centauri wins. Cool thing is depending on the modules you fit it has a different chance of success and travels at a different speed, so if another Civ launches a ship before you there is still a chance to beat it by ading more engines

Note that there's no way in a custom race to achieve such high abilities with only 10 points to distribute. I thought it was a design point for the game that all races started "equal" ... as it is now, the canned races have a significant advantage over a custom race in abilities. And I say to you sire - balancing! They know about that and it wi

Its currently confusing I agree. In the cases where GNN is reporting construction on several colonies, after viewing a colony and exiting view you are returned to the GNN window. Could GNN update to remove the colony you just viewed from the list?

Lowa, please let go of that fixation! If your hull gets bigger you can fit more. If the modules get smaller you can fit more. It doesn't matter which changes, the effect on gameplay is the same! You can fit more!

Now, in reality, if all tech is equal, and both tiny ships and large ships have the same guns/etc, then the big ship will win against a swarm. As long as there isn't any damage system. The reason is just as noted... your big ship will still be 100% effective at 99% damage. At 99% damage it's inflicted, most of your swarm has been destroyed (meaning less damage is being inf

Put in hordes of pre-designed ships by all means, just give me the option to turn them all off. It's my game, my empire, MY ships! On the point of tech tree viewing, you guys are aware that you can expand the window right? There's a toggle button.
