Not sure why it would tell you that, but I can offer a tip. Always exit the program you are about to upgrade before upgrading it. It will save you from having to reboot and will cause less chance of the installation getting fudged. This applies for any program you upgrade in Windows, the only reason it makes you reboot is because the file you are over-writing is in use, so you need to reboot for the change to take place. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" bo

It should be listed in 'Add/Remove Programs' in the Control Panel. If it's not there for some reason, try going to C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral and look for UNWISE.EXE. If that gives you an error, try reinstalling SDCentral over the one you have, then uninstall it through Add/Remove programs. [Message Edited]

Ok, I'll give it a whirl... 1)What skins do you like the best? - A skin that understands style, form and function and blends them all together seamlessly. )Which ones you use the most? - I can't say...I change them too often. 3)Who do you want to see again skinning something? Anything? - I sure would like to see a fresh Dangeruss skin. 4)What do you th

If you have a WC Subcription, all the skins show up on SDC in the Skin Browser section, though Rainlender is not there. They probably just haven't added it to the WC Browser yet, because Toolbar Icons and Progress Anims are also missing... [Message Edited]

Load the Windowblinds Configuration screen by double-clicking the icon in your system tray. In it, you will find a User Overrides option, try adding TClockEX to the exclusion list. WB will not try to skin that app...hopefully it fixes your problem.

My mother, being in the real-estate business, has put me in contact with a good real-estate lawyer. A free consultation...can't beat that, right? I'm going to fax him my lease tomorrow, and hopefully go from there. I don't want to screw the guy over Chas, I just want to leave in the most painless and simple way possible. I won't be getting robbed either, so if it does come down it...and he give

The only thing I want, that doesn't already exist, is a program launcher! An easily customizable program launcher, where I don't have to clone objects and align them, and change their properties for each program...if you can somehow automate that. It would be beneficial to each and every single DX theme in the library right now...

I tried calling the department that paxx listed, but they will only help me if I join their membership-only club which is $22 a year or something...so I skipped that for now, and emailed my lawyer. In the meantime, on the same website I found my first course of action. I'm going to simply not pay my rent until the roach problem is resolved. Worst case scenario, he evicts me after 1 & 1/2 months and I lose my deposit, which is fine with me, I'll be breaking even since I won't be paying rent.

if those conditions were not actually being met as far as health and such, you should be able to force him to return your deposit and such. See, that's my problem really, my lease doesn't make any mention of these kinds of problems. I'm combing through the NJ state website taking down a few numbers, but they don't even have a specific department

Well my complaints is what led up to the foggers, but it obviously didn't work. The entire building is roach-infested, and to get an exterminator to do the entire building is gonna cost a lot of money, none of which should come from my pocket. If the landlord doesn't do something soon, he's going to be one tennant short next month...and then let him struggle to find another helpless soul to rent this place out. I'm not going to pay for an exterminator...I'm just going to leave. To me it's a

In my apartment...it's mere seconds of life, as they get squished upon first sight. But that's the problem, the fact that I have to squish them...the fact that my apartment has cockroaches to begin with!!! See, I moved into this roach-infested sh*thole about 4 months ago and am now seriously regretting ever doing so. At the time, it looked clean, but I soom came to realize it wasn't. Just the other day my landlord tried to do something about it, they used those indoor foggers in all the apar

we all know that in too many families the TV and the PlayStations have replaced the parents too busy too raise their children. I think you hit the nail on the head with that one paxx.

Saying TV and video games are the cause for violence in youth is the most absurd, astoundingly rediculous thing I have ever in my life heard. It's bad parenting that is the real cause...not guns in a dang video game!!! Terribly sorry to further hijack the post...but it urks me when I see people say those kinds of things.

It's a bit confusing, but here's how it all works. DesktopX and IconX are now two COMPLETELY seperate programs, you can use one without the other at any given time or use them both. Either way, they are independent of each other. So to answer your question, YES, you absolutely can have IconX icons without DX running. It is this very reason Stardock seperated the two programs. All you need is the stand-alone IconX installed. You can find the latest beta in Stardock Central.

Wow, way to insult all the skinners who would of 'ported' the uber-cool Mac blinds. Hmm...I wonder who's gonna port them now, since all the WB skinners make crappy themes... Ahh...lots to learn tankfu.
