I think that the Flying Circus pioneered television sketch comedy, leading to the development of "SNL" in the States. It is quite unfortunate that SNL goes back to the same jokes week after week, and lets the one-joke sketches run on and on. I think that the reason for all of this is that they have ninety minutes to fill each episode. There are only so many "winners" that the writers can come up with for each show.
I think that they did a pretty good job of dragging out the "passed the boards" issue by having it get lost in the mail. Letting the audience know that Abby passed her boards helped to strengthen the viewers' good will. By "throwing the audience a bone," we were left with some sense of closure, even though there were a lot of unanswered questions by the end as well. Well Kelly, I am watching the Mariners this week because they happen to be in Minnesota. If I were to write about baseball (which I have a few times already,) I would write about the Twins. The Mariners are good though. They're my second-favorite American League team. I have liked them ever since they were the buffer between sixth and last-place in the old American League West.
