Thanks Ian. I use google to search stuff all the time but didn't think to use if for news. I know that there isn't anything about this story on snopes.com. Truth is often more unbelievable than fiction.

Thank you so much Chris! The one part I don't understand is why they put the little girl in foster care instead of letting her finally be with her real mom. The poor woman has been heart broken for 6yrs already!
Oh Sir Pete, egging them on again I see.
Never underestimate a woman eh?! Well done.
Sounds like you were experiencing the initial emotional numbness that comes with such a shock. I've been there. Lost a friend to Cancer in high school. We had grown up together and I had to pass his house every day to and from school. Nothing made any sense for a while. Sounds like you are already on the right path to recovery. Best Wishes.
Thanks Mr T I know for a fact that it makes a big difference for the kids to know that I will be there for them and that my husband gets to come home to a warm meal and cozy home. None of them are stressed out. We all talk and spend a lot of time together. We don't have to spend the weekends catching up on laundry and house work. None of our family's income goes to childcare or house
If I learn more details I will certainly post them. It made me think of that movie with Michelle Pfieffer, The Deep End of the Ocean. The character's little son got snatched while checking in at a hotel and she recognized him when he was quite a bit older and living near their new home.
I am totally with you on this Jamie! My favorites and picks were identical. I really think Lisa tanked on this show. Not a good song for her. She seemed nervous even though she denied it. I wanted to smack Paula when she told John Stevens that she missed the Sinatra stuff after telling him she wanted to hear him do pop stuff! I think Simon was dead on in what he said about him. I thought tonight's show was a lot of fun.
I'm thinking over who I might vote for. Thanks to all who have voted for me so far! Most likely to succeed is a tough one since you have to ask yourself the question "succeed at what?"
Lunaticus, they are called Bloggers for a reason
Mr_Frog, I feel for you. Where are you? I saw some reports of storms in S Dakota. Looked awful. I am in MI. Used to live in the very northern part of the Lower Penninsula where winters are pretty bad. I'm in the southern part now so winters haven't been bad at all. Hope Spring is on its way to you as we speak! Best wishes.
I heard this story this afternoon on The View. If anyone knows more, please share details! As the story was told on the show, a 10 day old baby died in a house fire 6yrs ago. The body was presumed completely incinerated. 6yrs later, the mother of the baby was at a friend's child's birthday party when she noticed a little girl and instantly thought "that is my daughter!" She saw a defining dimple that her infant had had. She then had the f
Here is another resemblance of High School (and I'm not saying it's a bad thing) ala Class Clown, Most Likely to Succeed, etc : GemCityJoe's 1st Annual JoeUser Awards Link
JeremyG, another similarity to High School. Popularity wins supreme. Class officers didn't get appointed because of their merit on leadership and responsibility. They got voted in by popularity. It is a hard system to work around.
Urban Faery, I think you are taking yourself way too seriously. Think about it "cock loving lesbian" isn't that a bit contradictory? Your comment about a 10yr old stumbling onot your site bugged me because I wouldn't want my 10yr old reading stuff about "cunt". I am personally offended by that word but that is my own hang up. You have every right to use that word and Sir Pete has every right to call people "silly girl". I think you are bot
He was totally provoking and Urban Faery, you walked right into it. Tama, I didn't see the comments in question so taking it up with Brad & team is the best way to go. I don't know if a nonmember should be the one to post the complaint though. I can say this, the example you gave was not an attack. If you think that was hateful, you aren't very experienced. People have been removed from the site for writing threatening, hateful things so
WiseFawn, I am not talking about giving families a dollar amount. I am talking vouchers for x amount of eggs, y amount of milk, etc. The voucher could only be used for the specific item. Nutrishinists could even include a suggested plan for using the monthly vouchers. Juice, scrambled eggs and toast is a very cheap, easy nutricious meal for example. This might sound harsh but I don't feel obligated to provide others with an
Why would you have the big castle wedding with a peasant from the Phillipines and not with a peasant from Russia? Just interested.
Hey Sir Peter, what ever happened to the wedding in the castle with all of the big wigs attending (Tony Blair, GW Bush, etc)? You went to the peasant woman instead of having her brought to you?
Mack, just as I have the power to not watch or listen to Howard Stern, everyone has the power to not read Sir Pete's blogs. Like I said in my guide, if he says something stupid on your article, delete it. Better yet, take trolling points then delete it. I haven't witnessed him going to other blogs in order to attack them. If that were the case though, I am sure Brad would get rid of him altogether. And yes, he is predictable. Some people
Tooo funny!
Spring came just in time for me. My 7yr old was on mid-Winter break last week and had slept in late and stayed up late all that week. Yesterday was a beautiful day and all the kids were outside playing. Hide-and-go-seek, tag, swings, trampolene, mud, you name it, they were all over it. This allowed me to put them to bed at 9 and actually have them conk out. There is just something about the Spring air and the prospect of grass greening and
I never said it was exclusive to High School. It just reminded me of high school. Some people instantly respond to the comments of some and totally ignore those of others. I just find it interesting to observe human nature. I must diagree that I am personally drawn to others most like me in this particular community at this point in my life. I think I learn more from those who differ in views. I am mature enough now to be open to that kind of lea
To all of you long time JU participants, am I the only one noticing the cliques that seem to be forming? I find it interesting that as soon as enough people were present long enough for others to get a feel for their views, groups formed. The same people tend to comment on the same authors' stuff. Don't get me wrong, I find it entertaining. I also fi
I Personally find Sir Pete amusing at times but if a woman takes him seriously at all, they tend to get perturbed. Here is a guide to help: Do: Read Sir Pete's stuff if you don't take him seriously and are in it to play along and have a good chuckle. Egg him on so he will give outrageous replies. Give raspberries to anyone who gives you guff about egging him on since you have as much right to do that as anyone has the right to pan
