dharmagrl said it was from the SD site. I visited the MI Gov site and was astonished by the info there too. WiseFawn already knows how I feel and I know how she feels. She feels that most people get left behind by the system. I feel that the people that truly get screwed in the good old USA are the financially responsible. I learned that early on in life. I worked my butt off in school to get scholarships I had heard so much about. I q

I'll have to celebrate vicariously too. Middle of the work/school week. Family hasn't been feeling the healthiest either. I am a little bummed that we have absolutely no plans. Our friends used to have a nice St Pat's party every year. Have a great time lad!

Muggaz, I know plenty of Germans that love America and Americans. That goes for Japanese also. If you don't believe Al Qaeda members are monsters, how do you define monster? I think that anyone willing to exterminate innocents simply because they don't live according to their religion is a monster. I find your description of Nazis upsetting. If they weren't evil at some level, why go along with the atrocities they were committing? If I

shades, nothing you quoted from Bush said that Iraq was involved in 9/11. Brad said that Bush never linked Saddam/Iraq to 9/11. He didn't say that Saddam was never linked to Al Quida. Also, a lot of what you quoted helps Brad's point. It said that the president and congress were determined to go after all terrorists and terrorist organizations INCLUDING those responsible for 9/11 not JUST those responsible for 9/11. Saddam is a terrorist. Anyone

I am all for a party/reunion but the stickler is always getting someone to organize it. I organized my first class reunion. Has anyone stepped up since? No. I like KharmaGirl's idea about Gnomedex! I've never been to NV.

psychx, how would you propose we go about getting rid of terrorism? What does Kerry really offer as far as foreign support is concerned? We aren't in Iraq by ourselves like a lot of people seem to believe. We don't need to pander to countries that aren't willing to sacrifice for freedom. BTW, with a blog called "Right Wing Techie" you shouldn't be surprised with an "extremely conservative perspective" <img src="../images/smiles/joke.gif"

Smells that I associate with: cherry pipe tobacco- grandpa smoked it when I was little I'm with ya on the hay- I am a hick from the sticks motor oil- makes me think of my dad. He was always working on a car, truck, dune buggy, etc. orange hand cleaner- dad again. Used it to get the oil and gease off. Chanel #5- my mom's fragrance. suntan lotion- Hawaii! That is all I can think of at the

The amino acid tryptophan that is found in turkey is found in dairy products. It is the stuff that makes you sleepy. Tryptophan helps the brains regulation of seratonin. I first learned about it's calming effects when my pediatricain told me that is why dairy is a good evening snack for kids.

I have eluded to this idea in commenting on other articles. I think the current system makes it too hard for people who aren't used to planning to use the assistance they get to it's maximum benefit. Here is my idea. I am posting it in hopes of getting peoples ideas to add to the idea. Feel free to tell me why it is a bad idea (if it is) also. I believe we should create government stores that assistance vouchers would be redeemed at. The

dharmagrl, you look great! I am 33 going on 34 also. I don't feel any particular age. I am truly happy where I am in life. I can never tell a person's age by looking at them anyway. I see 18yr olds that look 30 and 40yr olds that look 25. Age just doesn't matter. I am more reminded of my age when hanging out with a group of parents with our kids. Being mommy doesn't always make me feel old though. I play in the sandbox and play with Le

Poet, if you don't have something constructive to add, please don't comment. I am not on either band wagon politically but I lean toward republican because I want as much power over my own money as possible. I am generally disgusted with the state of American politics right now. Part of this though is people being closed minded one way or another. I know a lot of republicans that laugh and joke about Bush. If both sides can't laugh rathe

So, if Kerry is simply nothing but "not Bush" you people will vote him in? That is a very sad statement indeed. I still haven't had the questions of my article answered except possibly the answer simply is that he isn't for anything solid other than being "not Bush".

JeremyG, my babies were constantly monitored for changes in heart rate as signs of distress during childbirth. If these tests were being done, the baby was shown to have a heart beat prior to delivery and was then terminated due to not expediting his/her exit from the womb, it could show the baby was killed due to the woman's choice. I don't believe that she should be convicted of murder. I don't see it as her deciding to kill the baby. I just can'

Isn't being a woman fun I have a lump that I get checked out every year. It hasn't grown but it is still there to keep me wondering each time. It is deep in there so I am not too jazzed about the idea of them digging it out. Hope it goes well and that the dimple doesn't end up bugging you sa much as expected.

I would be interested to hear what the father's stance was. I would think it valid for him to press charges. If not murder, how about endangerment. It was a full term baby.

I don't know the details so I am going to try to not be judgemental on this particular case. What I can say as a mother is that I simply can't fathom why I woman would risk her babies welfare. Surgery or possibly lose your baby/babies? No brainer for me especially since any woman should know that any pregnancy can end in emergency c-section anyway. If you want to have your child "naturally" and not listen to the doctor, stay at home and have it. T

Well said. I liken this safety net mentality to the kids who live in their parents basement until they're 30. Why pay for my own place when I can get Mom and Dad to pay for it? Some people just won't get motivated without a boot in the butt. Sometimes you have to get hungry to see the value in going out and working. People like you have the drive to make it on their own. That needs to be ingrained more these days. We need more survivor attitude

Hey, the way I see it, if you are truly needy there is no reason to get defensive about this. You wouldn't be one of these people. If you are trying to say these people don't exist (as WiseFawn said the are getting their nails at the dollar store....right) then you are delusional. Sherye, you are right. the people who abuse it in this way are obvious. This doesn't detract from my point. It makes paying my taxes a much more bitter pill w

Sherye, I don't know how race or going to church has anything to do with what I said. As far as pointing fingers goes, I only stated what I saw. I never said they were all like that. To tell the truth, it doesn't matter. I am talking about the ones that abuse the assistance and make people bitter about it. I am certainly not the only one even on this site that has observed the same problems. Like I said, I don't mind helping those that truly need

Boy, the whole Colby thing really made things interesting! The only thing I hate about it is Jerri getting any satisfaction. Colby was a very dignified loser. He seems like a genuinely good guy. I was glad to see Sue go. I missed the incident that led to her breakdown. She really lost it! I find the show quite interesting. I am not one who has watched every episode but I have enjoyed the ones I saw.
