A) How is it GW is handing off the presidency? I didn't catch that. B) George Sr didn't seem like he wanted the presidency. I think it is a bit of a stretch to say he handed it over. C) Linking Bush Sr with Bin Laden, what are you trying to say? I think you are a conspiracy whacko at best.

Losing the dog I grew up with was the hardest thing I had gone through up until that point in my life. People don't recognize your grief the way they do for a person. That dog, as I am sure yours is, was a big part of the family. 14 is very old for a larger dog like a dalmation. You must have treated her very well. I am truly sorry and hope Sami doesn't suffer. Best wishes.

Did Kenny have a fever? If so, how high? I am fortunate that both my boys got through infancy with no bronchitis. I have had it lots of times and it is miserable. I hope the little guy gets better quickly! He is soooo cute! Hope you all get a chance to rest up. Best wishes.

NickyG, It is funny you mentioned remembering dreams while doing mundane things because I did about 5bzillion loads of laundry today (okay, more like 7) and remembered part of my dream that I was in a car that fell off a bridge into the water. That is one of my bigger fears.

My morning got off to a startling start. At 8:15 the 3yr old came padding into my room. Panic was instantly there to greet me. What time is it?! How did I over sleep?! I must have gotten so into my dreams or never set the alarm ( I am thinking the latter). I had 15 minutes to get my slow poke 7yr old ready to get his ride to school. Could it be done? I was sure going to give it a go. I told my son good morning and instructed him to go to the bathroom and meet me down sta

Good article! I think part of it is due to the birds and bees talks for girls. I know the main focus of mine was "don't get pregnant!" Of course I got the old "it is natural to be curious abou tyour body," statement. I really didn't know what that was supposed to mean. I think the big difference is, with guys there is an obvious physical need for sexual release some times. With women, I think it is still perpetuated as either wanting or o

I used to go to circle track races with my Dad growing up. You just don't get a feel for the speed on TV like you do in person but it is more informative to watch on TV. My money would be on Jr. I saw a commercial, don't know the guy who said it but the quote was something like, "This year's Nascar competition is competitive." That made me chuckle....this just in, heat is hot, water is wet and competitions are competitive :)

Some people on the left have been known to say that the right wingers would say the same things if Clinton had taken on Saddam. I would bet good money that most right wingers wouldn't care who did it, they would still see it as a good thing. Saddam is a monster that, given his way, would wipe out western society (mainly the US of course). Why wait to see what he will do when we know what he intends to do?

How in the world is marriage a defense against promiscuity? You can have a committed, monogomus relationship without being married and you can have a promiscuous lifestyle while being married (of course that tends to end marriage often). No nation is denying gays from having committed relationships. Their committment isn't the same as marriage though.

I don't think you can use those patches for infants. My first son, who is congested right now as well, was a very congested baby. He was born the last day of Nov and was congested most of that Winter. All the doctor would tell me is keep a humidifier going, have him in the bathroom with me when running a hot shower and dose him with Tylenol or Motrin if he ran a fever. Most pediatricians will say not to worry unless the fever is 102 or higher. It

Wahkonta, please cite your source saying there was a Bush oil well in Somalia. I do know that the US was looking at Somalia's oil resources (I don't believe that is why we went there) but I haven't read anything regarding Bush owning anything over there. And to say that Bush sent our men over there to die for his own oil is dispicable. What then was Clinton's reason for getting our people killed over there?

Watch yourself GCJ. You don't know Brad. I don't know where you got that kind of attitude. He never said he had anything against gay unions and supporting them having the same rights and priveleges. He said, as I also said, it shouldn't be called marriage. Poi Dog, I get your point about the separation of church and state. It is another one of those rules of government that gets taken to extremes. Like it or not, our government was based

Why does it have to be marriage for gay union to be considered equal. You don't have to be the same to be equal. I have no problem teaching my children that there are different kinds of families. It is fine with me that people love people of the same sex. It is not marriage in my opinion. Marriage is between a man and a woman...period. You can have whatever ideals you want and fool yourself into thinking that it wouldn't have profound eff

I was going to say that Ann Arbor, MI fit your description until I read that it has to be warm Toilet problems are one thing that really grosses me out. I am potty training my little one right now and it is almost too much some times! One of the reasons I have been against having a bathroom in our basement is I have heard too many horror stories about plumbing proble

People are free to say anything in a comment just as they are free to say anything in an article. If you think their comment to your article is not constructive (i.e. just rude) you can delete it. I found that once I stopped taking things really personally and didn't get emotional, I learned a lot more from the comments that disagreed with me than the ones that agreed. I have no use for people who just spout obscenities or call people names.

They are so worth it though, aren't they?! They limit you in a lot of ways but they give you so much more than what you have to go without. On the sucky side, you forgot to mention potty training and getting puked on Those two happen to be two of my least favorite things about having kids. That and not getting to go to the bathroom by myself. I expect those things will work

I totally relate to all of those. I own more Disney/animated movies than any other genre. I get to play with legos and play-doh. Nothing gets you through a tough day like hearing a little one singing or laughing. I totally melt ever time I see my 2 boys hug each other.

I love the funny face close up and the feet up in the air shots! He is sooo cute! What a cute outfit too. They are coming out with a lot more cute stuff for boys these days. On American Idol, I agree totally with everything you said. Ms yodeling 16yr old never heard of the merits of losing gracefully apparently. Burning bridges is another lesson a few of those people should learn. I really thought they should have booted the girl that wa

I agree with NickyG. I have never understood the mentality that movie stars are some sort of super being. People just aren't as impressed by the great minds. Case in point, my hubby has a friend that is literally a brain surgeon and rocket scientist (worked for JPL) but people are always more interested in hearing about his sister who is an actress. Maybe there are just too many people who fear what they don't understand and therefore don't take an

According to Reuters UK, just so there isn't any accusation that I am being biased, Bill Frist did a field test to determine it was Ricin. Field tests can give a false positive that is why he said he was "convinced" it was Ricin but it wasn't confirmed by the official labe test yet. Just semantics and common procedure. No conspiracy, sorry.

It sounds like it isn't vented if the house fills with smoke. If it is vented, there will be a lever that you can push to one side or the other to open the flu. If that works, you should be okay to have a fire. I personally wouldn't light a fire in a gas fireplace at all. It only take a little gas in the line to cause big problems.
