This was fantastic Tex...you should email it to Parents Magazine. They eat this stuff up!
I agree! Boy, if Izzy wins, Ashley can be her VP. They sound right on track with each other. Plus, if Izzy calls it "out", she's a perfect team for Ashley's "side". As soon As Ash is awake she starts asking "Side? Side?" She's a nature lover too. Neither would do well with Sheryl Crowe's "one square" rule though :)
Haha, well, my first assumption is usually that the baby put it in the dishwasher or the fridge or other illogical place. LOL.
We have that problem too! We find a lot of stuff in shoes :) We aren't cash people either. I'm so sick of all of the field trips lately! We are constantly getting notes to send in $2, $5 or $20 cash for something at school. I rarely have change. Mornings, especially Monday mornings suck!

Looks like you guys have done a lot with the place already! It always takes us a while of living somewhere to really start decorating much. We usually do the kids rooms right away though. Their rooms are more fun! thanks for sharing the pics! Looks like a very nice house.
Know the difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut? About two weeks.
Not when they take about 8 inches off! Try several months. Even if it was only two weeks, I've got 11 days until my reunion. Most salons aren't open on Mondays so I don't know if I'll hear anything back today or not. I'm hoping a manager will see me tomorrow afternoon.
I would just add that I find it's not a good idea to just show up at a salon by not requesting somebody.
I actually did make an appointment with someone that was recommended.
I would be in there for some Shakira extension locks in a flash
That would be awesome!
The rest of the whole mess will be resolved by time.
I just wish I had "time" before my reunion! I'm trying to convince myself that I can look good in shorter hair.&nbs

Good advice Karma. They aren't the salon I usually go to. I got an opportunity to have my sitter when I don't usually and noone at my salon had availability so I went to my backup, a more expensive but previously very satisfying place. I emailed management with a request for them to contact me and set up a meeting. I feel silly and vain about being so upset about this. I even cried last night after I showered and tried to do something with this hair. I just know the only way to mak
Go shoe shopping tommorow. It helps, really.
I'm still sick so I don't really feel like shopping. I also feel like I wasted money on a terrible haircut so I would feel guilty about throwing any more money away. I probably will get my "tail" trimmed off and just deal with having shoulder length hair until it grows out. They can't give me my hair back but maybe I could negotiate extensions ;)

I am feeling blue for a couple of reasons. A) My hubby is away on business for a week (but I can't complain) B) I seem to have some sort of flu or cold that has me achy and exhausted; and C) I got a very bad hair cut. I went to the stylist with spiral permed hair that was about to the bottom of my shoulder blades. It was almost all one length but with long layers. I hadn't had a trim for about 3 months so it was hard to tell I had layers at all. I tol
You cant fault a person for being born with a health condition anymore than a person that isnt
No, I can't, but I also shouldn't have to pay for their problems although we already do (not fully but partially) just most people don't realize it. When a company has to get a health evaluation done on it's employees when enlisting with an insurance carrier, everyone pays a higher premium if anyone has serious risks. You could have say 35 out of 40 employees that rarely ever

Congrats! Sorry the VA guy had to stress you out like that (not like moving isn't stressful enough). Welcome home!
I guess the boys in gradeschool had a point...girls are icky.
Who do you think the girls are getting the diseases from? Boys just can't get cervical cancer so they get a pass on this matter. The girls are filthy whores and the guys are studs...right? ;)

I most certainly do not think it should be mandatory. I also think that it isn't a school's responsibility to teach children about sex. I signed off on letting my 5th grader view "The Video" only because his father and I have already been talking to him about his body and about the facts of life. It's my job to teach my daughter how to protect herself. If more parents made their kids feel more valued, it might change their influence on their friends and we might actually make some la

It will be easier to deal with two of the same sex that close in age. They can be on the same teams and do a lot of things together. Boys are fun! Congrats!
Likewise, our parents have spent time together, without us involved. We take that as a good sign.
Wow! I can't imagine that. You are very fortunate! Our parents get along fine but certainly wouldn't choose to hang out apart from family gatherings. I'm just thankful they get along. My hubby's parents are divorced but do well around each other. That can be a sticky situation with some.

TV Land has this program called High School Reunion where a group of alumni having their 20th high school reunion are brought to a resort in Hawaii and drama ensues. This show caught my attention because I am about to have my 20th reunion in a few weeks and was interested to see what issues these others my age were having. First off, these people look old! The grey hair and wrinkles on most made me think "I don't look that old...do I?!" I can understand why the guy w

One of these days in the distant future, perhaps I'll write a book about the extraordinary things that happen in very ordinary lives. Today I will just write a small blog about the one twist in my life that I find the most unexpected. You would probably think that the thing that I find most unexpected after growing up with a very 80s version of Little House on The Prairie lifestyle would be ending up wealthy . Not for me. The biggest surprise in my life so

I usually have a heck of a time adjusting to losing an hour. I don't mind "Falling Back" quite as much. I was quite concerned how things would go with the baby but she's adjusting without a single problem. My parents helped the time change go easy on me. My hubby and I went on a date night Saturday so my parents stayed the night with the kids. They wore the baby out and my mom had the brilliant idea to give her oatmeal in the evening so her tummy was nice and f
Of course telling everyone you are younger than your wife, well, better build a good size dog house.
I'm only 11 months older but he likes to make it out like I'm a Cougar or something. I'm surprised he admitted he'll be 39! Usually he claims to be forever 29.
