Yup, me too. It kicks me to improvements.
From what I've seen on GCII forum, either way will work.
I think I can safely speak for the entire Metaverse when I say "we also want Icho to keep making mods!"

Several days ago, a thread in the general discussion area was removed. The thread was Galactic Civilizations III. It is still listed on the recent posts link on the left nav bar. I believe it should be removed there also. Or am I mistaken? -Chip-

han 13 improvements on my planets by the end of the game (In fact, more than 36 improvements on my wonder/trade goods planet), and this was without farms-which I'm sure will be a needed and important part of each planets success.
After viewing your above notes, I would reccomend that you lower taxes. I consider anything less than 70% morale to be a serious warning that needs IMMEDIATE attention. My general rule of thumb is to start the game at 100% military spending, 100% government spending, and the highest tax rate I can that will keep morale at 100%. Doing this, I can crank out 1 colony ship every 2 turns. After colonizing 3 to 7 planets, depending on the map conditions, (Or more accurately stated, after M
It could be that they are "Buying" these ships, just like you can at the production prompt, where you have the option of getting it really quickly for way more than it should really cost. I have seen the same effect you are talking about many times, I just always make sure I can overwhelm ANY force prior to getting my invasion forces into range.
1. The amount of research or industry a planet can produce is affected by both the amount and type of improvement put on that planet, and by the spending sliders located below the Tax and Government Spending sliders. The spending sliders tell how much is spent in Military, Social, and Research. (This is an empire-side spending plan) The improvements you put on each individual planet affect that planet only. 2. Income is produced through tax and trade. In the beg

When this message appears, it is because a minor race has stolen the tech's of another major race (not you). They are interested in trading these techs with you for star systems. This does not mean that they will ONLY accept star systems. In the past, I've been able to trade tech for tech to gain all the missing tech's. Of course I've also been behind before in the tech race and have been only able to trade for a couple. I would NEVER give a minor race star systems for tech's unless
Wtg fly, and oops for the whole m/billion thing, my bad. Thanks LW for the correction...
You invade the same way you invade a minor planet. Build a transport, or a combat transport, launch it (you'll then be prompted with how many of your population you want to load), and either stack it in a fleet and await more transports or send it to the minors system. Prior to invading (sending in your transports), you must destroy any orbiting ships. With your fleet in position, you'll have to send in the "Warships" PRIOR to sending in the transports. This means you'll have to break up you
