Good to know that (for at least this case) I am not losing my mind. I wonder if yesterday's update changed the overlord/empire ranking display update frequency?
Anyone notice the metaverse empire and player listings acting strangely over the last 12 hours or so? I submitted a game before midnight last night, and my player and empire profile has the score registered. However, my player listing and the empire listing neither registers the score nor the the correct game count. Not a huge deal, but this is not consistent with metaverse behavior I have seen previously. Has anyone else noticed this? Bam-Bam

That takes you out of the "click next for each planet" queue. I like this even when I am not spamming constructors--since keystrokes are (to me) always faster than locating and clicking with the mous

Bravo Zulu to our hard-core gigantic Maso man, Jaxom!
No one can be told what the Metaverse is. You have to see it for yourself.
Sirian, I cannot access the CivFans site to post a reply. It says I'm not allowed/authorized to access it. That said, I did get the SaveGame and will take my turns--hopefully by then, I will be able to post.
What you need to do is register at the site. You can find the link here http://forums.civfanatics.com/ . At the top right of the page, there are several buttons. Click the "register" button. BTW, you can also do this from the game thread page--this menu is a
Perhaps, Theoden. After having been through a few of his Civ3 scenarios--I am not sure that you can paint a "good" moniker on him. ;) I never knew Altarians to have such a sadistic streak... LOL
Or, perhaps, more like four hours and twenty minutes.
LOL See--this is more proof that Sirian is not an Altarian. Altarians are notoriously punctual, and they are NOT night owls. Team E, expect my turns up sometime this afternoon. Another break from work due to lack of daycare (What's a little ice gonna do?? ;) ). Then we get to see what "interesting" map Sirian has pulled for us. Given his history with random maps from Civ3, we could be in
Quite interesting, perhaps you can one day organise such a game but then between empires. Each empire will have 1 team, the one empire to win with the most points will win the contest.
That's a possibility. Sirian has plans for a tournament similar to the Realms Beyond Civilization Epics (see http://realmsbeyond.net/civ for more information). It's less of a competition--more of a comparison. Sure, for many of the games, there are winners, but we relish more of the
I do not think there is a need for a separate install. Sirian will generate the game start (since we are all using the same map, party, and picks. I have not known that having a mod installed eliminates the ability to just run a standard game.
What we did was to pass off the game using a zip file of the save game and its folder of other files. I believe that we all used winzip (std shareware program) with the setting to "save overall path". Then when you extract the files using winzip, you end up with the save file and its folder with all the associated files intact. This can be done either extracting in the data/savegames directory, or somewhere else and the save file and folder then transferred. Useing winzip also keeps
