If you need tips, look in the strategies category on the side tabs. There are lots of great tips in there, you can use the maso tips even if you aren't playing maso.

To get scores that high, you simply have to work your way up the scales. Look at my scores for example. I don't cheat one bit, and I am now able to put up 60K Maso scores. Just start at the bottom, and go up when you become successful at that level. Cheating just reduces the quality of the game.
Ok, you have run the diagnostics. Hmmm... I hate to say it, but have you made sure the sound is selected as on? I have done so many stupid mistakes of that sort, so it is the first thing I look for. Have you checked out the stickied thread at the top of the screen titled "If you are having sound problems, look here"? If neither of those work, please feel free to say something, preferably in the above mentioned thread. ----------------------------------------
Captain, you are free to do the same if you need to find some lost members of your own. There is no need to be so abusive. This is NOT a recruitment post. The name says calling all DIPLOMATS . I don't think many people who are not Diplomats will stop by something that clearly does not concern them. I am sorry if you find something that does not concern you to be so disturbing to you.
I've seen them twice, so they are there.
I think both are to be Pure Evil: see the defaults for AI alignment on the editor.
I have the same problem with my own alignment. I get the number, but no name.
On Kevin the Kitten's note: I agree somewhat and disagree as well. Most games with missions are designed for a tech buildup as the game progresses, you have a top to research and each mission, you start below that cap and work to a new cap. While I suggest in no way that GalCiv should copy other games, perhaps the games should have no limit on tech, but as you progress, you get a lower minimum. Just an idea, Kevin has a good point.
Thank you for the info Frogboy. I want to say thanks for the list, the updates, and for listening. Far too few games do. And I personally appreciate the new updates! Look forward to trying it ASAP. Quick question: could we have a list of the $ modules? or should we play and find out for ourselves? I can guess culture palace modules, but I am unsure of the others. Thank you Frogboy, and thank you Stardock! :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:
Ok, thank you very much! I thought the editor would be unuseable for me. I am glad that it is not.
Using the Middle scroll button on my mouse for zooming in and out. To move map, hold mouse button down and move mouse.
Sorry, but what about those who don't have a scroll button, like those with laptops?
My computer is very similar to yours. P4 2.6 Ghz Radeon Mobile 9000 512 RAM I have no trouble with Gigantic. Maybe you need to take the habitiablity down, to like Uncommon or Rare.

How to raise morale: Build improvements like Soil Enhancement, Habitat Improvement, Entertainment Network, Multimedia Center, Harmony Generator, Stadium, Teleporters. These will definately raise morale. Lower taxes. Approval will go up, and approval is the same as morale. Reduce pop on planets with overtly large pop numbers, i.e. Colony Ship. *WARNING* last ditch technique.
Behold the Genesis Device. Look, we can do it in 6 minutes! LOL I rather like GoblinCookie's idea for the invasion tactics. It doesn't take only one month to kill off 60 Billion sentient beings. Cities are really hard to take with traditional combat. Also, any combat should destroy improvements. Try taking a city without destroying it. Impossible. Maybe guided missiles to take out population. V-2 weapons pretty much. I would LOVE to have carriers! I loved them with Starcraft an
I am still getting minors building trade goods. Have not found any with wonders though. I don't have saves, sorry. I will try to get one next time I see one. Also, it wasn't just one. It was two minors building two trade goods, I believe.
If I hadn't already worked my way up to Maso, I would love to join in. But I am already at the top, and I don't really have time. If my life ever clears up, I would like to play a regular game though.
There is no auto balance. Sorry. There are ways around it, depending on how you want to play. You can set your spending lower or off for a few turns, and then spend however much you want for a while, or you can adjust every turn. I perfer to adjust every turn, because I can keep morale/approval at the level I want. Want to join an empire? Check out the Diplomats: http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=687
I can't use the map editor. I can only see about 4 squares in any direction, can't find the zoom, and see any scroll bars.
You may not want to go to ground entierely, because that would make an CivIII essentially. I think this game is based off its run program, right? Sounds cool though.
Yeah, I've noticed this. I have been getting almost 30K for small/tight/abundant/military victories on Obscene.
J.T. I found in the thread for AP Beta 3 that CariElf said that the level would be back down to Maso as top for AP Beta 4. Post 76 ~SDC~
Yep, I just mentioned that in the AP Beta thread.

Civ III had a more simple system, but it was very effective. That would be an example of an easier to use system.
