Every release they've had since Win98 has been hyped as being as big as 95 98 was a nice upgrade, Me wasn't a nice upgrade, XP is wonderful , but did not redefine computing the way '95 did. Longhorn just might be as big as '95 as there are very signifigant changes to the UI and includes a 3D desktop system.

RA v1 was released in Jan. and that solved many of the problems people had previously experienced. Since then, there have also been five patches released. I think it's worth trying again.
Rdefx, the most common reason for that problem is having less than 32Mb video RAM. How much video RAM do you have?
The solution to the toolbar is on this page http://www.triplehelix.info/v2/help/bug-fixes-and-workarounds.shtml It is a known problem and should be fixed in an upcoming patch.
Known problem: Does not play nice with ObjectDock, they both use the same resources and slow each other down.
