One note I forgot to add to the article, 3DNA is only worth trying if your CPU is over 1Ghz, you have a good vid card (over 32mb), and 256Mb RAM. It runs best on 1.5+Ghz CPUs, 63+Mb Vid cards, and 512+Mb RAM. Yes, it's a resource hungry program, but if you have a good system it rocks

I'm glad you found a good printer. But was this really front page news stuff?
I'm using an old Celeron 700 based computer. (I bought it for $800, the very next day I went to the store, they had slashed prices, and pIII 1ghz machines were selling for $600 GRRRRRRR) Of course, about the only thing that's still as originally made is the motherboard and CPU. Only in the past few months have large numbers of programs started to require a more powerful CPU than I have to run smoothly. The only reason I haven't replaced it is a small matter of being laid off.
Styl there's a contest at http://www.3dna.net I'm not sure when the end date is though.
WOM, the problem with that design is that it's dark. I haven't used it, but in general, the usability of dark skins is quite low.
Regarding the GIF issue. The fee is paid by people who make the program that generates GIF images. It is free to generate GIF images from these programs as the fee has already been paid. Aside: It's not the GIF format that is at issue, it's the LZW compression.
Regarding the date it's stamped with, I believe that's the day it was submitted, not the day it was accepted. I think it should be stamped with when it was accepted, but I'm not going to argue again.
Keramik is good.
Hmmmm, if what you want is productivity, go with the Windows Classic interface. My personal fave combo is ObjectDock, ObjectBar, WindowBlinds, IconPackager, and LogonStudio. I've found those go well together and don't hinder productivity unless you use a badly done, or dark skin. There are a few WB skins that actually ad to productivity, but I can't recall them at the moment. As for #2, I long since stopped matching my themes.
On the Stardock WindowBlinds page: *WindowBlinds 3 only. Version 4 for Win98/ME/2K coming soon.
I live in North Carolina If you're here to work: Unless you're planning on moving to Raleigh, avoid the state like the plague. It's a nice place to visit, but not to live (or find a job in). Also, if you have school age children, avoid the state at all costs, education is one of the worst in the nation, and they're getting huge budget cuts. If you're here to retire: The mountains are won
So far, here's the rundown. In order of most votes: 5 1 2 4 3 One option I think should have been on there was "unusable" which would describe nearly all of the dark skins.
Thank you
Any volunteers?
Would someone please create a calculator icon? The only one I found was this goofy cartoon version that doesn't go with anything else I have.
For those who don't have credit cards, Pre-Paid Credit Cards are available in Wal-Mart.
Congrats! We'll miss you
Styl: Blizzbaby used to have a unique design, but due to several factors she started using a CMS a few weeks back. This CMS couldn't support her old design (easily) so she took the path of least resistance and adopted its default appearance, just changing a few colors. As for what happened to Jobeleca, I've changed from that to Aqua on about a dozen forums, registrations, and a whole bunch of stuff. Basically, I just got tired of the Jobeleca name I've been using from '94 till late l
Have you ever tried the 3DNA Desktop? http://www.3dna.net It was on an article several months ago while it was in beta version, but has now cracked 1.0 and has several patches out + a bunch of new worlds. I suspect you'd really enjoy it I also think you would enjoy making some skyboxes for that program (instructions are on the site) some skyboxes already done are at http://www.blizzbaby.
whoops Lost my W-2
Desktop Sidebar - Unlike advertised, it did not interface with Outlook XP or Outlook Express. This rendered most of the exciting features 100% unusable.
With regards to future GUI Olympics, I think the names and homes of the entrants should be hidden until final results are revealed. This way (hopefully) the skins will be judged more on merit than who they were made by or where they're from.
WOM, at the time I thought they were lame because I saw better stuff fairly often on WC then fairly often. Trying to interpret your reply, you're saying it was mostly a management problem?
