Theme VS Siute in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I think a siute is a design made by a person or group specifically for show. It usually has a connecting idea behind it. (Like Universal Metal) ------- I think a theme is a groups of designs or one design that could or could not be made by the original person or group that is combined to be shown. A theme is a sub catergory under siute but not equal to. (Like a hotel siute that has a theme. Presidential siute, Lovers siute.) ================= Your thoughts???????????????????

Siute??? Theme???? I thought a siute was somethng the original author does but a theme is something that goes together from a mix of authors. Use screenshots for example, a theme like...... NYC Traffic, would be a collection of designs to create a theme. Universal Metal is a siute because all of it is designed specific style (whether many or one author). See this is why I think there is a need for a national standard for GUI design!!!

YES!!!! I was thinking about that for a while now. Some of the digital art, for exaple, would be nice if framed and put on the wall. Or even painted and put on the wall. (I wonder how they got my idea!!!). I hope this works. I do not see a reason why it won't. And with it's popularity growing each day, it is quite possible that it could become the place to get art for the home and office. It is a good plan. It gives me an idea......

I have 2 degrees and about to get a 3rd and I'm jobless right now. Over qualified for some jobs and under qualified for others. It will always be about how you use your mind and apply what you learned. Degree's help when your in to get higher pay sometimes, but if you can not apply what you learned then it is worthless. I am glad I learnd allot and can apply it. This hpefully will mean that even if bad times come I can come out of out better off then most.

I hope I answered you question in the other post about windowblinds??? If you do have the Object Bar program once you open it, you will see a button alled browse. click on it and then select a zip or objectbar file. that is not the only way to load it but the easiest. if you do not have these programs, then in my honest opintion (IMHO) get them. hey!!! I was thinking about uploading a winstlye siute too but it is all other peoples work. So I thought it would not be wise. One siute, though, I really liked so I thought I would ask the designers if I could upload it. Just as long as they get the credit. I think I will give it a shot and ask.

Oh no not that. Not manually. That is not what I ment. I ment outomatically if you have the objectbar set to *Use WindowBlinds Skins*. Maybe I did not see the part your talking about Real. But from what I read it is showing you how to do it manually. I have this style called Windows XP in my object bar and if I set it to use the skins of windowblinds it works (that is if the author designed it for use with WindowsXP) Just wondering if anyone else has it.

If you have Object Bar and download a ObjectBar style called Windows XP you can set it to *Use WindowBlins Skin* and it will change the Object Bar skin to match th windowblinds skin. I am not sure if I did downloaded it or it came the with Object Bar program. I think it should be updated and re-released so others an have it. Any thoughts????

I guess I can understand the skinners piont of view. Allot of hard work has been put into the design of thier work. But on the other hand a casual user without winstyles might not have eevn seen the work because it was on a program or downloadable somewhere on the internet but couldn't find it. So over all I think it means more exposure for the skinner. There are those who will abuse the system but for the most part allot of people just want to change thier desktop. They are not skinner

yeah... I guess a hundred megabytes should be the limit.
