Then you never reformed the governent, I suppose?

Totally agree on those messages/warnings. The drengin could say like: "I know you would eventially turn over to the dark side, it was a wise desition. Welcome brother" Hahahaha.
Personally I choose Terror Stars, but that's just because I very seldom play on the biggest map, where one benefit the Flash Ship the most. My favourite size is medium, and there they are pretty much useless.
There are some improvements that increases the planet-class, for example: Soil Enhancement (from start) Habitat improvement (early) Terraforming Terraforming is the best of these but it's quite long down the tech tree. The reason you have a morale/population/production problem with the lowerclass planets is that ppl arent that confortable living and working in deserts, planets with +500 degrees celcius, and such - even if you force them to build a colony there.
AFAIK: It's not in yet, but on the todo. Currently you have to be connected to internet while ending the game.
This version of the game only works in 1024*768
:) hmm sounds familiar. thanks for reminding me.
I got them to grovel when I declared on them. So I traded all their research and tradegoods for peace. However, I think the tradegoods may have vanished. If I go to the speak-to screen, niether me or the Bradians have them listed.
Ah ok. nice. I'll try it. I normally play tiny or small galaxies when a new build is up, after that I switch to a little bit bigger one. And I play with all AI players.
Ah, ok - sure. I could try that. My reserve-plan was to get to work tomorrow and play from there, where SE work :) But your plan was a bit better IMO, if it gets you about the same data as SE gives, that is.
Found an old program, is this it? http://www.synthetic-reality.com/warpath.htm
"adjust the social/military/research sliders" By that I meant that if you get the "No resources" while trying to make a military project, increase that slider. The same with social and research stuff.
You can increase spendrate and adjust the social/military/research sliders. Altho, if you choose to colonize a planet with too low planetclass they wont be able to have any production there, so that may be a cause. I never colonize planets below 14 myself. And seldom less than 15.
Ahh, yeah had one crash just now. The last lines were: Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 7 So no indication of such error then I suppose? While checking the debug.err, I found these: Debug Message: Scanning Models. ASSERT ERROR in file c:\projects\pear\source\model2d.cpp at line 2400. Debug Message: Animation Small has 17 frames of animation, which does
Umm me stupid. Please disregard of the crash above. Altho the messages are strange. Unless it's something normal with this new build.
Got a huge load of lines like these with that build: Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 27 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 27 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 27 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug Message: Getting Parent Star: 2 Debug

http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/bug1.jpg http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/bug2.jpg http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/bug3.jpg The strange picture format is due to that I use dual monitors, and very limited photo editing tools :)
Just got a GNN message window on top of the UP-meeting window. They both got into my screen at the same time. With autoturn off.
I go a defender from an anomoly. The minimap showed that I could only send it to the SOL-quadrant. Never tried my other system in another quadrant. Then I got a crash due to something else, and reloaded galciv - the minimap showed that I could take the defender to any of my two systems. Could be a USS Defender fortune bug or moer likely a refresh thing with the minimap. Anyway, it could be a good idea to autorefresh the minimap on events such as anomaly surveys.

dude, sorry - I should read all of it before answering :D Thought you were the person startign this thread, Master Lame. And then complaining. Whish there were possible to edit/delete postings. Sorry man.
dude, what's up with the attitude? Frogboy answered your question and said that it probably wouldnt work. Why dont you follow your own advice before getting down on someone for trying to help? Normally, old savegames arent compatible with newer versions.
I won with alot of starbases, never even made an attacking ship, only defenders and constructors. Never made a hostile move against anyone :)
I just got an alliance victory. I got all major races and all minor except one to defect their systems to me, due to cultural advantage. To make sure I wouldnt make an alliance victory with the only race left - a minor, I traded war against the minor with the last living major just before they defected. That is - I traded war against the minor on both sides. Shouldnt make an alliance win then, should it?
