Why we don't get a tech each time we conquer an enemy planet like was in GC OS/2? What's the reason for the change?

If there are many ships stacked 8-10+, clicking on them will show in the details only the first 2.
In the OS/2 version each attack was counted as one move. Now it's free. Is this intended? In my opinion, this lessens the value of speed. I mean, if your ship has 10 moves, you can (in OS/2) attack 10 ships at most (all surrounding you ;) ). Now with 1 move you can attack an unlimited number of surrounding ships. The old way had a meaning so that one powerfull ship could not wipe a sector full of minor warships or transports in one turn. What's best? :notsure: <br
I'd like to know how many would support to promote Lucky Jack to the next level. He should be the first Captain. He has been always present, testing, helping, moderating, accurate, and so on. Let me know. ;)
Cari, it was that particular transport located below the planet where you'd usually get out from orbit. I moved away attacked a couple of other ships and then went back to destroy the transport. It worked. :)
Hey Jack, did you change your nickname and got the stars back? ;) What did happen? Did you win the lottery? LOL With my best friendship, Gherardo
Caveat: debug.err is overwritten each time you use galciv... so I hope you never used GC after the crash ;)
Good point fixing. It should be taken for any additional bug report/confirmation.
For me GC can better exploit its potentials in Huge/gigantig sizes. The others are just trials.
I'll send you mine. It hangs. When they mood listed as Ally and Drengin attacked me, both declared war to Drengin that are now in troubles LOL I just gave them battleships since I have also dreadenough ;) They love me... LOL Then I got the bug reported in another thread (:(
I've moved to .88 as Pat asked. Works fine but I nothing to download to make a better check.
This is a repeatable crash. It happens when in this game I deorbit a defender and attach a transport located in the tile where it usually deorbit ships (at the bottom of the planet). Ok, this is the first beta that tie me down to the keyboard :) Few comments/bugs: - colors in the minimaps are unreadable. Black as background is terrible for blu... Zooming improves but... - ships/planets listing: we need another way to sort them. Bottom line: less graphics, more lines, more infos, sorting available. I suppose were not intended for 1Z - UP: how can I call for a summit? how often is automatic? how many issues did you input? - sound got off at midgame -
Ranges in small game are not a relevant factor. Try large and above ;)
Cari, I have the same music/sound problem as Jack.
I like ranges. Currently you get more range too quickly but this is to test it. Steevo, Titan, go back to other treads about ranges and see why I support ranges. Brad, just one "bug". I've traded ships and got them out of my range. At first I couldn't move them. Then I autorouted in range and it worked. Don't know the logical solution... :( think about it ;) Also, what are the techs to increase ranges? No text added for it. Why not to include added ranges in the
Pat, I do understand that .86 does re-download game images all times and I'm (at home) on a slooooow GPRS line (10Kb/sec) :(
Pat, with .84 the loader gives me the "13 Type mismatch " error :( If I load drengin.exe directly it works (not mentioning SDS0004). Let me know when you have a fixed loader-drengin after .86 I'll stick with .84 for now.
Me too. First shot success after a few SDS0004.

Not really familiar with english ;) but the response you propose doesn't show up in my dictionary LOL Perhaps somebody could trade me "SmartTranslator" LOL
In OS/2 I got races to surrend much before the point you described.
When I changed to .83/84 it asked me again my SD subscription data... and also said it was expired (1900 date) What about you? Really can't understand what's happening to you :(
