Obelisk, can you tell me what model CPU you have? The only thing that came out of the DxDiag output was that it was an Intel I7, but it didn't include what model. And I think you are going to have to open a ticket with the support people, Sorry, I did what I could.

Although this sounds like a bug reported during alpha and stated as fixed in the Beta 1 build, it is also possible that this could be a driver issue, Check the hints in the Support FAQ for how to troubleshoot and/or report it.

catongreantea, you will find the instructions for debugging and issue reporting (including crashes) in the Support FAQ , They will likely also want you to download, run, and attach the output from, SDSupportTool to your ticket, which you can download from http://sd.stardock.com/Support/supportToolTest/SDSupportTool.exe. All of that is true, but it has never hung the game on me before. This one was a true bit twirler and was easily reproduced by reloading from the autosave. Just in case this is somehow hardware related: This is on an Intel i7-4770 (without an integrated GPU) with a GeForce GT 640.

During end of turn the AI attacked one of my ships. The game hung when I told the battle window to proceed (I have forgotten the button's name. Perhaps it is "done"). I have submitted what info I could, including the autosave, to StarDock in a "ticket".
I recently bought the Elite Founders edition via a retail store.
I was under the impression that it would not be available in any retail store at any time, let alone during alpha/beta testing, so the question is: What retail store was this?????

I have seen this too. It seems as if the game picks a ship with moves left, then if it is a stack, selects which ever ship it thinks is first in the list, The game should not do this. However, I have discovered a work-around for the time being that lets us get past this problem: click on the stack and you will see the selected ship change. Do this until you have the ship with moves left, then move the ship. This gets past the bug. Edit -- I have also tried to select the ship from with
The only change that might add to this would be to bold massive building sized worms for emphasis.
Yes, the emphasis is what I was trying to get at. As is, the emphasis is missing.
The subject of this sentence is "the fish." Taken alone the clause would read: "In the largest schools, the fish can clearly communicate with us." I think this conveys their mean

I am starting this thread to contain reports of spelling, grammer, and other text issues. Colony event "Worms": Description: "The location of our colony on this planet is apparently the prime hunting grounds for a species of massive, building sized worms. This is by far the most fertile land on the planet, so we don't want to move if we don't have to. But on the other hand, massive building sized worms. What are your orders? Problem: It looks lik

The description text for this event is "A strange fungus on this planet has begun infecting our colonists with a mysterious illness that appears to be impossible to vaccinate against. Although our doctors can treat the symptoms easily enough, they have no hope of finding a cure, and the risk of contagion is high. With this disease strickening us, our colony will never see its full growth potential. What are your orders?" In the third sentence, perhaps the wording should be "With this
I noticed in the first alpha build that the buttons on the save panel can be very confusing, There is a button called "done" that is counter-intuitive, If you want to save a game, don't use that button. All it does is exit the save window.
The same is true of the load screen. The "done" button is counter-intuitive and should perhaps be labeled "back" or something else. If you want to load a game, you MUST press th

The battle placeholder is very weak. There are many issues being raised on it. However, there have been promises of great things when the full battle support feature is included in the beta 3 build (per current schedule , updated 8/14/2014).
