Realistically, though, you won't be zoomed in far enough, during normal gameplay, to really see that (or care).
Are you replacing a sound file or are you editing a text file that determine which sound file to play?
Nevermind, I found the error. I was missing a "g" in the .ogg entry when I changed the code in the music data file to get rid of the rebellion theme that it defaults to.
Quoting XATHOS, reply 176 So, you're trying to say is fuck publishers? Yeah, I can see that. Considering they're a publisher...uhh...yeah, that's it, sure.
Talking about companies that solely publish, not people that also develop, as well. He's implying they're like leeches, and just shit on the little guy (from their experience, you always have exceptions to the rule).
I'm putting some aesthetic touches on my mod, and I noticed that my sound replacement for the opening theme is not working. I thought maybe it was an issue with how the file was generated (using a different program this time), but I put in an old theme that I've used in the past, and THAT isn't even working. I've tested several old ones, and none have worked. I know for a fact that the rest of the mod is working. Anybody have issue with this?

Here's my 2 cents from my understanding: Debris does vanish after a while and doesn't really hurt performance much (because you can't really interact with it, etc). Trade ships don't really have much impact at all. What tends to bog things down late game are strike craft (fighters/bombers). Each individual ship is its own entity that the game must track.
We'll also be releasing an update for Diplomacy around the same time also which should merge quite a few of the changes Stant made in to the standard variant of DS as this is how the final 1.00 should really have been released however due to time constraints on myself at the time the release was pushed out with a few bits missing.
Awesome, thanks Xathos! That's all the files I ever need, I just like to play around with ship speeds/command points and stuff, maybe add an effect to a research subject, but nothing big. (I think I spend more time restarting games trying to get it right more than I ever really do playing it, but I enjoy it ) I didn't expect anyone to upload the .txt versions so quickly after release, I'm happily going to get to modding now
Rebellion 1.01 (Retail) Ref files: http://www.mediafire.com/?biimhkons8gt984 It's in .txt and only includes what Harpo normally includes. Enjoy.
Let me get this out of the way: I like Steam. I like Valve. We have a poll up right now that asks whether you use Steam. Let us know please. I’ve been in digital distribution since before digital distribution was a thing. The very first computer game that was launched at retail and digitally distributed was Galactic Civilizations back in February 2003. For us, digital distribution was a matter of life or death. Consider this, how man

It's part of why I vastly preferred Impulse. NTM the whole having 0 control over your games ( such as separate install directories...what if I want 1 game on my SSD, but another on my large HDD? Or the whole not even able to launch a game without Steam running, etc. ) Grumble grumble
Finally updated. Just need patch notes.
OK, the dev's said there will be a clues in Rebellion as to what is chasing the Vasari and apparently it's not Sam Neil returning in a ship that vanished into a black hole for fifty years. They also suggested that they thought it was possible some might get it rather quickly. To this end, I posit my guess. I kept noticing in the varying screen shots the new Vasari ships. We know the Vasari are quite happy to hav

If you guys are really worried about the titans or dreads being unbalanced, just edit the galaxyscenariodef file so each side starts with 1 under the quick start options. Remove the spawn ability from the controllers. Problem solved.
