Most of those basic tweaks for IE 5 also work in IE 6. I think most people with sites like this just haven't bothered to change it to IE 6 when it works for both. If you find the same reg keys in IE 6 in the same location, it should be ok. Yes, you can upgrade to WB 4 without buying Oject Desktop. But it won't be for free. Your payment for WB 3 gives you a license good for versions in the 3.x series. Your license does not cover version 4.x. (I can't recall offhand if WB 3.x licensees get a discount if they upgrade to 4.x. You should be able to get the info at the stardock site.)

If you haven't already, you can improve your W98 PC's performance and mimize resource (esp. memory) use by reducing the number of unnecessary programs that run on startup. That's #1 if you haven't already done that. You can install OD components but you can choose which ones to run. So I don't see why you'd need to uninstall any, just don't run them. On W98 (on my older PC's) I routinely use WindowBlinds and WebBlinds without problems. And those two programs make a real big difference

You might try logging out, deleting your WC cookies (there are two of them, I think), clearing your cache and then log into the site again. Some site access problems can be "cured" that way, in my experience.
