Then you'd agree it really IS a small ma&pa place? That little building is about 10 steps from the train tracks...a couple years ago a train derailed as it passed thru the middle of town...two of the box cars landed on either side of the place, within 30 feet!
Roundup Charburger...northeast Oregon.
me too..got it now...yeah, the actual app icon stays the same (didn't notice this before!)...
mmm...okay...so, am I to add that to both the NewStart and ClassicStart files? Can you guess that I've never edited my registry files? Before you start laughing...how DO I add that line?
thanks yrag...does this option delete all the icons? [Message Edited]
Yes, I'm on XP...but the recycle bin is the only icon I wanted to remove. I have five other icons that I would really like to keep Perhaps I should consider adding those other icons to the dock as well...but if anyone else knows of another way to do it, I would appreciate it! thanks for the tip Hu
Now that I have a recycle bin on my object dock...how do I hide (or delete) the recycle bin that is on my desktop? Deleting is not an option on righ-click...and I'm afraid of what might happen if I try to drag/drop the recycle bin into the recycle bin!
When you say "change the default in the taskbar"...do you mean you're trying to change the icon in the OD taskbar (or windows taskbar)? Do you have 3ds open and running when you're trying this? If so, maybe closing the program first, then right-clicking the icon to change, will work?
Remember when "homework" consisted of plopping down 4 or 5 textbooks (after carrying them all day...pre-backpack days) and notebook paper and pencil...reading the assignments, and writing your notes/answers? Or researching an assignment meant going to a library... Didn't have computers then...well, not anything that would fit in a classroom, much less on a desk! Darn computers!....they
Thanks Koasati...I tried plugging into your example... All I can say is "step-AWAY-from-the-skinning!" ah well...I'll just have to can that idea, and try starting with something a little more...simple. Thanks for all your help...if I come up with something useable (and different) I'll uplo
Sorry to be a bother I'm trying to create a background image for OD. I currently have two images (one for each end), but also have a central image that would be best if tiled across to fill the background. Can anyone help me with adding code to include this third (central) image? please?
thanks for your help.
argh!! Just when I thought I had everything figured out! I took a look at various background .ini files, and pretty much get the jist of it...however, I don't understand what "TileVCenter" and "TileCenter" are, and what the settings (0,1) represent. I looked through the readme files but can't find infor
Thanks Koasati ... is there a certain size to make the background, or will OD stretch it? I appreciate your help.
I just installed OD, and find it's a fun utility but I'd like to create some icons and a docking bar or two. My questions are: - what size should the icons and bars be? - how do I add the bars to the current selections? - to add a new object (program) to the dock, do I just drag/drop the .exe file or a shortcut? Thanks for your patience! <img src="http://images.stardock.co
That's a good point, I thought maybe they were going to sell the CDs...but now realize it would be sort of like Computer Arts Magazine attaching a freebie CD to their issues.
I vaguely remember the mention. At least they've contacted you for permission, which is good. Perhaps you could limit them to skins of your choice..sort of a sampling...and get as much as possible, as far as agreement terms, in advance (in writing). Not sure about compensation part, I'm sure someone else here will have better suggestions though. Congratulations!
I too have the Aiptek Hyperpen...it occupies a fairly large chunk of desktop real estate, but it's a nice alternative to the mouse, for certain graphics projects. It takes some getting used to, if you've never used a pen tablet, and the little button on the pen is sometimes quirky. But overall, regardless of the brand, if you're into graphics, it's a good investment.
Trillian for MSN,ICQ,Yahoo. I'm using the free version of Trillian...I would buy if they'd come out with a Lite version, somewhere between Pro and free. The Pro version has too many features, more than what I would use. Also, has anyone else (on Trillian/MSN) been getting chat windows popping up reminding to upgrade to MSN 6.0? I've upgraded, but am still getting them.

Not sure about question #1... But for #2...If you have Computer Administrator access (ie, it's your computer and you're the only one that uses it), then you should be able to go into the user accounts area and make adjustments, including removing or changing the picture. To do that...either go to your start menu and click on the user picture, or go to Control Panel>User Accounts....then to change/remove the picture, click on your user name...it lists the options, which includes
