I was just talking to a friend of mine about this last week: I would say 75% of the people I know are having trouble sleeping and/or are tired all day. It's kind'a freaky that so many seem to be having this problem recently, as I don't remember this ever being a problem for anybody I know untill the last 10 years or so.

Heck, I'll even send you his email address in advance if need-be (private mail of course) to make sure, cause I'm sure we will have to patch it up to 1.5 (And, btw, we are now able to finish Lan games here since 1.5 :D ) What is "Max Activation" anyway?
With all the talk about Spore and Mass Effect's copy protection, it got me thinking, about my upcomming vacation: I leave on vacation in a couple weeks. I usually take a game or 2 to play on my friend's Lan while gone. I want to take Sins, install it, show it to him (and his friends/family), play the game with them via a Lan, but, can I? I've already installed it on my 2 computers here, so can I install it on a third to play while I'm at another l
96% accurate is the current stats; the company said they would retest you (99.7% accurate), IF you contested the test, after 1 fail. But the point of the post was, odds are high you'll be taking a LDT in the future, and theft/piracy is the main questions they ask about. And if you fail, they will "LOL" while they escourt you to the door if you try to tell them all the reasons you pirated. . .
Is there even any tenative info on when 1.1 might be out? It's been quite a while since 1.4 (which is when they say they started work on it). I was going to wait till 1.5 to try MP, but there was so little changed in that patch, I find I'm now waiting till 1.1.
Well, for all you pirates out there, I have some bad news for you: The company I work for, does some serious stuff during their interview process. And one of the parts of the interview is a LIE DETERCTOR TEST. And one of the questions they ask me is if I have pirated in the past. Luckily, I have never, but, if I had, I would not have the incredible job I do now. There was also some theft going around the building several years ago, and we all had to take LDT, and I did not pass.
I can never get a 1v1 either, and have given up on online (for now, until 1.1). I'd do 2x2 or 3x3, but since I'm not that great of a player, I just can't stand the rude comments of teammates because I'm not at their level of play. With 1v1, you don't have to worry about that.
Yes, finding replays for Sins is a pain, and the few I've seen offered on these forums were fairly "uninspired". I wish there was an area for them, like in SC.
I write the names down of any player that drops like that, and will not join, nor let them join, any game I am in. It's worked pretty good so far.
The edit button only disapears if you totally mess up your post. If you get it right, then it show up.
I don't see an edit button either, but, we all get what we pay for, and these forums are free, so I don't mind too much. (I'm using the editing button that showed up after this post to edit this message) ;)
I've been hearing "PC gaming will die" for untold years; since my Amiga. You do realize, don't you, your using a PC to tell millions of people with a PC that PC gaming is dying. . . . ;p
I have 2 computers here, on a Lan. My main compuer is a pretty decent dual core, but the other one that Sins is installed on is getting pretty outdated, and I'm going to replace it soon, so, does that mean I lost my second install of Sins? I also reinstall windows like about every year or so, do I loose the install count for that too? And as a gamer of 30 years, I can't beleive I really have to worry about things like this now. I beleive this is what my friends in their 50s-60s are c
Hey, what if some planet defences actually took up Fleet Cap AND Tactical cap? Then there could be better planet defences; just a thought. . .
Ya, the TEC could have a parade with confetti made of cash; the Advent could have a chess tournament (with cheerleaders); the Var's could have a BBQ with a random race as the main course.
I'd love great planet defences too, but, every time I "play-test" that in my head, I see impasses and stalemates. Only the ability (Level 10?) to jump more than one planet away might make better defences plausable. A "Long Range Hyperdrive would be a terrifying ultimate tech. I don't need more ships myself, I'd just like to be able to (and want to) build more of a mixed fleet. Nothing I like more than showing a spammer the error of their ways ;) How about a planatery shield
Well, In SC, you can choose to join a casual game MP (unranked) or choose to play a ranked one. Every DC/quit is put on your record if you choose a ranked game. It works perfectly if you ask me. If someone quit as soon a they started to lose casual game, or gave any noobs on my team BS cause they were, well, "noobs" (I ofter wonder, the people that name-call noobs, did they just become pros their very first game?) I just put them on my Ignore list; often, I would refuse to play on a team wit
Well, I just came back from spending a weekend with him, and showed him this forum thread too. I won't say everything he said, and I'll condence all I can, but basically, he said it did not matter to him where you guys store what, or how you "store" info or why. The bottom line is it's copy protection, just like any other copy protection, and the game stoped working when he got his new computer (BECAUSE of your copy protection, regaurdless of what you call it). He told me is I got him the new
That sounds about right Jobias. The game seems to keep a tab on the XP of destroyed Cap ships, and when Resurrection is used on any new cap ship built, it becomes the same lvl of the destroyed ship. But, since I've always built the same type of Cap that just got destroyed, I don't know if it would work on another type (for example, what if you had not built a Radiance I wonder). It sounded overpowered to me at first, but, to make the best out of this power, you pretty much have to kee
Well, I would like one of each ship type, but, until 1.1 comes out, I'll just take a dozen LRMs please ;)
About Bitmaps: Lower is faster (and uglier) right?
How about they just put "# of Quits" in the rankings. If you see a player with lots of quits, odds are, they are one of those "quit 1 second after I see it might not be an easy and quick win" type player.
Here's how it works (I had the same question last month): Any time a ship is destroyed, it's xp are "sent" to any mothership with the Reserection ability. When a new Capitol Ship is created, you/it can cast "Reserection" on the newly built ship, and it gets a huge XP bonus. Anyway, I rarely play Advent, but, after you get that ability, simply move that ship to a Gravity Well that has a Cap Ship Factory in it (that's what I do anyway), and it will Level Up any new cap ship you build
Well, that's a pleasant surprise; I thought it would be released next week for sure :)
Supreme Commander was really the first game I started playing MP a lot with; their MP service was great. Casual unranked games or ranked; easy access to custom maps, mods and replays; detailed info on the game your about to consider joining. So I was a little shell-shocked when I tried ICO. I was barley even able to chat in the lobby because of the "joined/left" spam. I could not see or host with lots of people (I did finally get my Port forwarded thanks to great help from people, but my frie
