Dunno man, all the tests I've seen you post lately (about the beta so far) seem kinda biased and/or reactionary. And no, that's not a personal attack, I'm not trying to offend you, just pointing out matters of objectivity. That said, props for putting forth the effort to do any kind of experimentation at all, no doubt everything helps them somehow.

At rank one I swear it says that Distort Gravity makes the jump drive spool up more slowly @_@. Rank two and up the ability is drool worthy (that debuff is off the tooltip), although like Pb said, if you miss a single ship... it can be pretty retarded. I never meant to imply that Marauders are useless - far from it. I just feel they need a bit more testosterone, mainly in Subversion being useful and perhaps a touch of something more offense oriented, be it damage or ability related.</

If you're going to nerf the Kostura (why?), the Skirantra (I can see it), and the Subverter (that one hasn't been nerfed enough yet, really now?)... can you kindly PLEASE buff the Antorak Marauder? Make it a little more powerful offensively or something. As it stands there is absolutely no reason to ever start off with a Marauder, in fact, it's mostly only useful as part of a large already well developed fleet w/ multiple cap ships already included - or as part of a pack of Marauders meant fo

I have to ask... what do you mean by Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity? This update will only be available to people who bought the trinity pack? What about those of us who just bought the expansions one by one? Am I now a victim of bad wording or a victim of bad business? Please clarify. -Itharus

Nah. I accept it. I just wanted to point out the fact that the target cap on PMS (and the fact that the missiles are NOT phase missiles) sucks without being the one to say it first ;). I'm psychological like that. Buff vulks ;)

I'm sorry, but I reject your notions that Skirantra are OP. Just deal with the extra bombers by bringing extra counters to them. As for the spammage? Welcome to the internet. People fuckin' LOVE the bandwagon on the internet. This will continue until people realize a ton of some other unit is fun. Just be glad you don't have 12 vasari siege caps spamming phase missile swarm in volleys at you. Or doubling up the beam weapon they get - that shit rapes SB/Caps when you have like

Derek, the Repair Cloud ability doesn't stack, it's a flat 30hps. More than one cloud just helps in coverage. Also, the little phase aura the ship does that helps protect strike craft? Also doesn't stack. Really the only reason to take more than one Skirantra is for multiple Scramble Bombers and backup for Repair Cloud in case one dies or runs out of AM. So having 2-7 Skirantras only really helps for getting a ton of bombers out... provided they don't get CC'd/Killed/AM-Wiped before they can

Greyfox: 1.) I wasn't aware that the beam enhancement from the Halcyon didn't apply to the Advent Bombers, sorry. 2.) I never said anything about the quality of Vasari strike craft, only the quantity of squadrons. Which also is less related to the Light Carrier than it is more related to fleet composition. Vasari fleets don't have "room" for adequate Strike Craft unless you've built a fleet that's specialized for it. "Balanced" fleets are very mandatory for the Vasari in my ex

Try to keep up with my incoherent babbling, will ya? There's always something meaningful in there after you translate it! :)

Refineries are a bitch... Try to build them on planets that have as many phase lanes leading to other gravwells (that have metal/crystal extractors in them) as possible. You want to try to place them to maximize the amount of extractors they can cover. Honestly if the refinery can't hit like... at least 6-8 extractors, you probably don't want to even bother with placing one there. Each extractor can support three refineries (although neutral extractors can apparently support f

If you're playing Diplomacy, just win a 5,000+ credit pirate raid against the enemy. The stalemate will be broken. Edit: Don't mind me, I'm bitter.

At the rate which fighters can destroy bombers, the Skirantra are not OP. Not to mention flakk burst, telekinetic push, etc... or the fact that TEC/Advent can deplete anti-matter reserves with abilities really fast (Vasari can too, but it's a bit slower and more sporadic). Having a bazillion bomber squads is nothing you can't accomplish with every race. Scramble Bombers is IMO fairly in line with Rapid Manufacturing - the Sova can bust out replacement squadrons ASAP.... not to

This, coupled with the retarded power of the Pirates in Diplomacy, is why I just turn them off these days. This expansion kind of sucks, frankly... I just hope IC lives up to their usual reputation of constantly improving their products so that Diplomacy can be salvaged before the year is out.

The little bomb the Dunovs get that depletes anti-matter and disables abilities works wonders ... the distortion field the subverters put out is channeled (and that little bomb is AOE). The Ion Bolt from the Akkan also works. Missile Barrage makes short work of Subverters. In short... your capships.
I play with pirates in single player. I'm working on beating 4/5 vicious locked all against me. I get hit with almost 3000/4000 supply fleets from multiple fronts. Most cant even take 1 single vicious. i liked them before the patch.
I call bullshit on this one. Maybe with some modded game files - or a specially designed ultimate chokepoint map you do, but not stock Diplomacy. More likely you
EDIT: If you can get a Vasari starbase set up in the pirate gravwell (or any starbase really, but Vasari ones build quicker, which helps a lot) you can drop a new cap ship in there when a pirate raid is due and have it level up without having to move around much. Support cruisers may be necessary once the threat level has gotten high enough, but since the Orkulus has Debris Vortex it likely won't need them until the very late game).
