MOO3 only sucked if you didn't like spreadsheets... I was in school to become an accountant at the time, so... yeah... they didn't phase me in the slightest. Filling out 20 pages of spreadsheets a night will make you immune to their mind-numbing effect :-P.

That sucks bro... I had the metal one when I was a kid too, although it was destroyed from 15 years of play between my older brother and I (he's quite a bit older than me, toys got recycled lol). So I can feel your pain and nostalgia. I had something similar happen to me with some vintage Transformer toys from when the animated movie was released (R.I.P. Galvatron). My advice to feel better, is that if you have any kids - buy them something really awesome, so that they will have a kil

You could totally destroy planets in Star Wars: Rebellion (the precursor to SW: Empire at War). It was actually a decent game, the graphics were utterly terrible though, even for it's time. I'm pretty sure you could also destroy planets in MOO3.

The good news is bro... colony pods work quite well at stars. It's not as awesome as trade ports, but it's better than nothing. Furthermore, my starbase's trade ports worked fine on planets. However, they do not work on stars - and that is across all star bases of all races currently. Just so you know: phase stabilizers do not work at stars either. So if you're thinking it'd be sick to 1 jump your ships to a star from anywhere in the system? Nuh-uh. N

Get the game fairly well in, when you're sitting on 1,000+ supply and the bounties are in the thousands... then tell us how the pirates are. I'll do the same if I beat you to it :-P

From a lore stand point, I want to know what all these little neutral colonies are. They have TEC design templates for their ship - but they are not a part of the TEC? How did they procure the designs then? Are they independent goverments? Are they Trade Order worlds that refused to be a part of the TEC Reforms? What? It's fairly obvious that they are all human colonies... and that almost every world in the game has at least some sort of human settlement on it... so... what the heck?<

If you want my advice - sit on this. Don't release it. Don't offer too many teasers. If this "saga" is really your baby, then finish it - don't cheapen it with a video game mod. Talk to a publisher, get some other crap out so your name is around... try the sci-fi magazines and what not. Get recognized, and *then* present this to a publisher. Only use your dream-work here to try and achieve recognition if you have been unsucessful with the above. Don't let someone rip you off.<

Indeed I did, sorry for the wrong word. If memory serves, I only had one mug of coffee that day (this excuses almost everything). Thank you for the info, Kitkun! I saw in the patch notes for Diplomacy 1.01 that there was a bug concerning the Supply Pact... I wonder what the bug was? Maybe too much supply was being provided..? I'm also very partial to the Vasari, almost to the point of exclusivity. Maybe 10% of my games are as non-Vasari, and 90% of that 10% is as the

Update for Diplomacy: Pact it up with a TEC ally and call down the thunder. Skirmishers are "alright" now (dps upgrade), but still not that great. Keep some of them around though, "Interference" is worthwhile. I'll often try to keep like 10-20 around. Vasari Heavy Cruisers still suck, keep a few around to slow the enemy down, though. 10-20 is probably all you need. -Itharus

AI using ultimates works in Entrenchment, eh? Guess I'll go load that one up til they get Diplomacy patched then.
Odd that some of the squashed bugs in Entrenchment came back up in diplomacy.
As near as I can tell, most if not all the bugs the patch just before Diplomacy launch fixed in Entrenchment are still alive and kicking in Diplomacy.

The Supply Pact is still OP, bro. At least if you're TEC or Vasari facing it... I don't have enough experience with the Advent to comment - I quit playing them when I realized you could rickroll an opponent with just two Guardians (repulse) in your fleet. Maybe the Advent can withstand it better... maybe not. I understand the usefulness of this (Supply Pact) when you're the underdog fighting outnumbered, but when you're the one in charge - it's just... too much. As for the Mis
I believe this was done so the AI could actually use super weapons.
I've played some reeeeeeeally long (7-8 hours) games already in diplomacy (I had 4 days off...heh...), and I have yet to see any AI on Hard Difficulty build a super weapon. Honestly, I have also yet to see them use their ultimate abilities on cap ships and star bases. I was fighting three level 10 Marza's with full antimatter when the battle started, and

I would like to take this moment to say that the TEC Supply Pact is just retardedly over powered . I clicked accept and randomly got 900 extra supply... while only having around 800 supply or some such and it's associated low cost in the first place. So basically I got to double my fleet supply and
